Does this surprise you?  Well, it shouldn't if you think about it logically.  Minorities have always been opressed.  Minorities have always had to fight to ascert their rights.  The white class has done the opressing.  The white controls has historically controlled the means of production and the wealth.  Then, isn't it natural that minories would be more susceptible to the strugle almost as a rite of passgae while whites are less inclined as they feel more removed from the situation and are not adept to the strugle?  It all makes perfect sense to me.
