Ahmadinejad claims Israel trying to assassinate him

On August 2nd while addressing a group of Iranians living abroad, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed that "Israel has hired people to assassinate him." In the speech Ahmadinejad stated, "The Zionists have sent people to assassinate me. Look how hopeless they are. They have assassinated so many Iranians." The statement was given during the same speech in which Ahmadinejad challenged the current U.S. President (Barack Obama) to face him in a live televised political debate.
