Morgellons: A Mysterious Skin Condition

Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has received an increased number of inquiries from the public, health care providers, public health officials, Congress, and the media regarding a strange illness called Morgellons disease. Morgellons disease is an unexplained and debilitating condition which has emerged as a public health concern. [1] Today, thousands of people claim they suffer from the mysterious illness and its bizarre symptoms, but there are many in the world of science who believe it’s all in the mind. However, the government has finally acknowledged people are suffering from the illness and the center for disease control (CDC) is currently in the process of conducting studies into the strange condition and its nightmarish symptoms.
