Military patrols start Friday night in downtown Columbus
• www2.wrbl.comStarting at 10 o'clock Friday, two senior non-commissioned officers from Fort Benning will be on courtesy patrol. The soldiers will be wearing arm bands that read, "Courtesy Patrol."
Fort Benning Commanding General Robert Brown and Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson made the announcement earlier this week.
They need to increase security in Uptown Columbus comes after two weekend incidents in early April.
In the first incident, police say five soldiers beat another man. The beating was witnessed near First Ave. and 10th street- sending the victim - a former solider - to the hospital with head injuries.
The other, a shooting that left four injured - one fatally - at Mario’s restaurant on Broadway. A man is charged in connection with the assault.
Now, Columbus police will have the company of two uniformed Fort Benning soldiers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

This is just another creeping compromise, as American "Justice" moves away from the Posse Comitatus Act, allowing the Military Industrial Complex to establish a standing army, which is in violation of the US Consitution. The next step is to incrementally increase the number of uniformed "officers" and then, the entire military will step in, in EVERY "emergency," to keep the peace. In reality, there will be no peace. Notice: one of the major reasons, why these "Courtesy Patrols was established was because active duty soldiers assaulted a "former" soldier. So... let me get this straight... to stop soldiers from beating up other soldiers, we put other soldiers on the street to keep the peace. Does any of this sound a little odd... or is it just me, who thinks the whole thing is a ploy to get us use to seeing military personal "policing" the streets? Is it happening "only" in Columbus?

We have used them for empire and the murdering of people in foreign countries for almost 200 years. What do you think they are being brought here for? Remember the founders warning about a standing army you sheeple.
