House rejects proposal to raise debt ceiling

With an August deadline looming, the House overwhelmingly refused Tuesday to raise the legal limit on government borrowing, setting the stage for a long, sweaty summer of haggling over the shape of the largest debt-reduction package in at least two decades.

Someone needs to go back to school and get advanced in MATH. It sounds worse than stupid to raise the Debt Limit by 2.3 Trillion Dollars and just cut the Spending 2 Billion Dollars or in that area.. My thoughts; If you CUT the Spending, Why do we Need to Borrow More ?????? We already have the Worse Record of Being GOOD Stewards of OUR Taxpayers Money.. We are being Robbed Every day by these Thieves, Professional Politicians that have been in Power TOO LONG. It's Time to Clean House, America.............
