Kenneth Moreno and Franklin Mata, the former NYPD officers at the
center of the well-publicized “rape cops” trial.
Moreno and Mata were acquitted of rape, despite substantial evidence against them, including a taped confession; however, they were convicted of “official misconduct” and fired.

A jury is not mentioned. Could jury manipulation by the judge (as they usually do) not be the real problem? And prosecution of judges for jury manipulation be the real solution?
