The TSA reached a new level of what can only be described as derp over the weekend when one of its "agents" failed to realize that the metal detector he was using to screen passengers was shut off. Eight to ten flights were delayed as passengers had to be re-screened. While the situation is humorous, it also shows the blatant incompetency of TSA agents who are supposed to be protecting us vigilantly from terrorists and raises more questions about the validity of the TSA.
