After decriminalizing all drugs and opting to treat addicts instead of imprisoning them, Portugal has seen a dramatic decrease in use among her people. The radical notion that we should be caring for those suffering from addiction instead of kidnapping them and throwing them in a cage finally has a real world example the US would do well to learn from as the Drug War continues to ruin lives.
