“The vast majority of vehicle accidents are due to human error,” Padilla
said when he introduced the bill in March. “Through the use of
computers, sensors and other systems, an autonomous vehicle is capable
of analyzing the driving environment more quickly and operating the
vehicle more safely. Autonomous vehicles have the potential to
significantly reduce traffic fatalities and improve safety on our roads
and highways.”

So you see? Skynet isn't taking over by using violence, like in the "Terminator" movies, and in the "Terminator, Sarah Connor Chronicles" series. Skynet is doing it by "driving" Government officials!
Well, that is one way to get rid of car bombers.
