Some observations after zooming in and out and panning around. First, there are no visible houses, bases, airstrips, factories, or really anything of value other than some timber and potential (note - potential, not proven) oil reserves.

Japan should sell them to China .
Actually, this fight is probably one of the most important fights... to the Power Elite. Why? It is the method the PE are using to let the nations dominate the ocean floors, legally, so that everyone in the world will be required to have national citizenship in one form or other.
As it is now, if a person earns his money, say, through working on the Internet, and if he is a Permanent Traveler, having no "full-time" residence or citizenship anywhere, he just might be able to be free by traveling the oceans. The owning of all the sea-floor lands by nations would make the waters above them also owned by the nations, "national sea-space", like national air-space. This would make the PT subject to some country's national laws no matter where he lived in the world.
It's all about control, and the formulation of an organized, REQUIRED-FOR-EVERYONE, one-world government.
