In the wake of the protester-imposed regime change in Ukraine the big question was how the neo-Nazi themed Right Sector and the pro-West bureaucrats from the old Tymoshenko government would be able to work together. The answer is, they’re not.
The split of the Right Sector from the rest of the “interim government” came dramatically today with the death of Oleksandr Muzychko, a top Right Sector leader, wanted for war crimes in Russia for his involvement in the Chechen War, slain under disputed circumstances during a police shootout.
At least “police shootout” is the official story from the interim government. The Right Sector claims a conspiracy, and that Muzychko was loaded into a car alive and well, before being shot twice and dumped on the street elsewhere in the city.
