Ebola Death Ticket: United Flight 822

Thomas Eric Duncan. He’s the man being treated for Ebola at a hospital in Dallas. He flew on United Airlines, with a layover in Washington DC. Duncan flew part of his trip on United. The airline says they’ve been informed the CDC about his flight path. He apparently flew on September 20th on United Flight 951 from Brussels to Washington Dulles, and then from Washington Dulles to Dallas, flight 822. The CDC says there is NO risk to fellow passengers, because Duncan showed no symptoms at that time. Passengers are NOT being individually notified. But by now, many of them probably know. Thomas Duncan is a Liberian national who likely contracted Ebola while caring for an infected, pregnant woman. The New York Times reports Duncan helped carry the woman as she sought help. She died shortly afterwards. Five days after contact with the ill woman, Duncan arrived in Dallas to visit relatives. Six days later, he went to a hospital complaining of symptoms.
