See An Enormous Tornado Captured On 360-Degree Video

• popsci.com

A massive tornado measuring nearly a half-mile wide touched down near the small town of Wray, Colorado, on Saturday, injuring five people, knocking down dozens of telephone poles, and damaging other buildings, according to NBC News. Storm chaser Reed Timmer got close enough to capture the twister on a 360-degree video, which he uploaded to his Facebook page.

The 360-degree perspective lets you see just how immense the cyclone is in relation to its surroundings, and the effects the wind has on the surrounding landscape and nearby people (other storm chasers). To my knowledge, it's the first time a tornado has ever been captured on this medium. I'm sure it won't be the last. As always, stay safe out there. And probably don't go chasing tornadoes if you don't have some experience.
