Fire Fauci!

• John Birch Society

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Anthony Fauci has become a household name appearing almost daily at the White House Coronavirus Task Force's daily press conferences and on both broadcast and cable news television interviews. However, the entire premise of his so-called "solutions" is predicated on notion of granting the government broad powers and unconstitutional controls over the lives of Americans. Fauci should be fired.

Fauci has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984, spanning six presidential administrations including under President Trump. Fauci is regarded as the brains of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, calling the shots on the need to practice "social distancing" and encouraging state governors to issue draconian and unconstitutional "shelter-in-place" orders, forcing millions of Americans to stay at home.

As of April 13, 2020, the New York Times reported that "at least 316 million people in at least 42 statesthree countiesnine citiesthe District of Columbia and Puerto Rico are being urged to stay home." That's roughly over 95-percent of the total U.S. population!

Appearing on CNN's coronavirus town hall, on April 2, 2020, Fauci said that all Americans should be sheltering at home and that every state should be abiding by federal guidelines. "I don't understand why that's not happening," Fauci said, "The tension between federally mandated versus states rights to do what they want is something I don't want to get into, but if you look at what's going on in this country I just don't understand why we're not doing that — we really should be," Fauci added.

During the 1980s, Fauci fear-mongered the severity of AIDS by grossly exaggerated the spread of the disease among heterosexuals. Fauci has also praised World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus for his global leadership and response to the pandemic.

"Tedros is really an outstanding person," Fauci said during the March 25, 2020 White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing. "I've known him from the time that he was the minister of Health of Ethiopia. "I mean, obviously, over the years, anyone who says that the WHO has not had problems has not been watching the WHO. But I think, under his leadership, they've done very well."

Tedros owes his position as director-general of the WHO to Communist China, which he has long had ties to since his days as Ethiopia's health minister. He has recently been under fire for helping the Chinese Communist Party government conceal early reports about the severity and origins of the coronavirus.
