Less than 1 in 10 people has ever heard of the Georgia Guidestones, despite the fact that they are bigger than Stonehenge and sit out in the open in Georgia, right here in the United States of America.

But that's not the weirdest part.

The weirdest (and creepiest) part is how they suddenly arrived, how not much is known about them, and then the ultimate…..what they say

Massive slabs of polished granite rise out of the earth and are inscribed with directions for rebuilding civilization after the apocalypse.

Yes, really.  

I don't need to add any extra hype or fluff to this article, because with the Georgia Guidestones, truth is stranger than fiction.  

And scarier.  

Located in northeastern Georgia the rocks are each 16 feet tall, with four of them weighing more than 20 tons apiece,  supporting a 25,000-pound capstone. 

You might think  of England's Stonehenge, and you are not alone. Built surprisingly recently in 1980, they are quietly awaiting the end of the world.
