Dr. Scott Gottlieb is a poster child for the revolving door between government and industry, having served as head of the FDA under Trump before taking a high-paying gig on the board of Pfizer. Asked recently during a segment on CNN whether the COVID vaccine might be responsible for the dramatic spike in cancers in the past few years, Gottlieb predictably hemmed and hawed and sought to deflect blame away from vaccines.
