1,200 Acre Wildfire at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Prompts State of Emergency Declaration

• The Gateway Pundit

At least 11 neighborhoods in the area are being evacuated, and the Governor has declared a state of emergency.

Republican South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster announced on X that he declared a state of emergency on Sunday.

"This State of Emergency ensures that our first responders, who are working tirelessly and risking their lives to protect our communities from these wildfires, have the resources they need," McMaster said in a press release. "Dangerous wildfire conditions require that a statewide burning ban remain in effect until further notice. Those who violate this ban will be subject to criminal prosecution."
