Jim is a civil engineer, and with his wife, he built an underground dome home, a dam and a hydroelectric power station, roads, and bridges. He constructed a 1-mile long zipline—one of the longest in the world—where his son Dustin once hit 80 mph soaring over the family pond.
He obtained permits to build his eccentric creations in an unconventional manner.
