Weren't the tariffs supposed to be backed up by a reduction of manufacturing regulations so that Americans could produce 'stuff' that was cut off from other countries by the tariffs? Reduced regs, and increased incentives could have us growing our own coffee. Of course, it takes 5 years t get a coffee bush to start producing coffee beans. But coffee could have been one thing that was held off regarding tariffs, until we were growing our own. It seems that big business does not want to Make America Great Again. And they are influencing the members of the Legislative Branch to go along with them. The Deep State runs DEEP within the government.
