Sharlene Holt, musician and author of Musicians4Freedom.com, is a frequent contributor to Freedoms Phoenix, United We Strike, and similar alternative news sites and radio shows. She is a musician and activist working currently in the Southwest. A former technical training and documentation specialist in reconnaissance for the defense, Sharlene digs deeply into the mainstream news to expose the lies of our so-called elected representatives. Sharlene earned a Masters degree in Instructional Technology in 1992 at the University of Colorado, Denver. After that, she earned an assistantship and completed a year of coursework in the Instructional Technology department at the University of Georgia, Athens. Sharlene was employed in the 1990's as Senior Technical Training & Documentation Specialist in reconnaissance with various defense companies including Northrup Grumman and Raytheon. Sharlene has been employed in the private sector in recent years as a training & documentation specialist working mainly for software companies. Her experience includes storyboarding computer-based training, writing help systems and documenting online product manuals.
In addition to her vocational endeavors, Sharlene is engaged locally as a musician, political activist, and innovator. At present, she maintains the Musicians 4 Freedom project where she encourages bold and creative expression outside the socio-political "lamestream." Her site visitors and audience includes musicians, moviemakers, visual artists, comedians, motivational speakers and entertainers of every kind as well as activists, political candidates, legislators, journalists, researchers, and the general pubic.
