Our very own Freedom's Phoenix workshop mascot, Nick "Spike" Bravo, has been the butt of cyberbully attacks by an anonymous You Tube user. As many around the workshop are aware, Spike is homeless, jobless, and very vocal about his current predicament. Most nights, Spike can be found online at You Tube and other blogging sites lamenting his case. One of our favorites is called "My Dream," in which our hero can be found giving serious consideration to consuming a can of cat food! He promises his viewers that if they'll subscribe, he'll do the dirty deed. Today, Spike shared with us at the workshop just one of the many anonymous parodies proliferating on the internet. As I write this article, Morpheus is busy researching the attacks and has found too many to mention.
In contemplating the situation, we are unsure who is the "crazy" person here: our man Spike or the parody producer. We are debating whether it's our duty as Americans to report the alleged attacks to Dr. Cass Sunstein, Karl N. Llewellyn Distinguished Service Professor of Jurisprudence, Law School and Department of Political Science, University of Chicago. According to Prison Planet today, Dr. Sunstein, president Obama’s appointee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, and the man who outlined a plan for the government to infiltrate “conspiracy groups” in order to undermine them, is in direct line for a promotion to Supreme Court Justice. Sunstein, already in an advanced position of power in the White House as Regulatory czar, has already called for strict restrictions on gun ownership, an internet “Fairness Doctrine”, and an effective ban on free speech where dissenting opinions to those of the government are expressed. Surely Dr. Sunstein will realize the gravity of the situation and take Spike's concerns on as a test case. We'll keep you posted as this situation develops.

Once upon a time people watched and considered what they said about others, as they had dignity and were considerate of one another. Today, any old asshole with an opinion can post it to a vlog for any other old asshole to read.

Spike Bravo has fled from Arizona to avoid his mounting legal problems, but he can't run from the true origin of his troubles -- himself.
Spike Bravo, a 36 year old college dropout with a history of being fired from minimum wage jobs, returned to Arcata, CA in early March. The unemployed vagrant promptly resumed stalking local politicians who had defeated him during the 2004-2005 elections. After being silenced at a city council meeting, the desperate Bravo was arrested for shoplifting and resisting arrest. Local police are well-aware of Bravo's history of criminal activities.
Sleeping in the woods at night night, Bravo lurks around the campus of a college he once attended during the day. He is actively e-begging money and hopes to gain access to a storage locker so he can sleep with a roof over his head. Bravo was last known to be threatening to commit suicide unless someone sends him $250 by Western Union. He is desperate and should be approached with caution.

irritated, disgusted, and offended by this whole situation...on
multiple levels. All of this smells like TMZ-style drama.
Sharlene....you listed this post under "Humor." Do you think it's funny? I don't.
