US House to debate Ron Paul’s ‘Audit the Fed’ bill
06-12-2009
•
Rawstory
After months of activism and lobbying by Congressman Ron Paul’s
supporters, House Resolution 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency
Act, will move out of committee to be debated by the full House of
Representatives.
In a show of cross-party unity, Ohio Democratic Congressman Dennis
Kucinich became the bill’s 218th co-sponsor, pushing it over the
threshold for debate in Congress.

Appeals court says no to George W. Bush deposition
06-12-2009
•
AP
A three-judge panel of the 5th District Court of Appeals ruled that
Bush does not have to submit to a deposition from a former condo owner
suing Southern Methodist University, the future site of the
presidential library.
Gary Vodicka, who was forced out of his condominium by SMU to make
way for the library, contends the university coveted the property and
lied about its intentions.

Truth Nuke
Scrambling, desperate for cover, the Federal Reserve has hired
previous Enron lobbyists to schmooze congress. I’m sure Ben Bernanke
was pleading with his demonic overlords for HR 1207 never to hit the
floor. Alas, my poor friend, with over 225 cosponsors Ron Paul’s bill
for auditing the Federal Reserve will be heard.
The likelihood of HR 1207 actually passing is slim to none, even if
it gets past the House and Senate. However, the point is not the
passage of the bill, though it would be nice. It’s more about the
awareness factor. The fact that the mainstream media can no longer hold
their tongue and must cover the event plays huge for the freedom
movement.

Lender’s Role for Fed Makes Some Uneasy
06-12-2009
•
NY Times
Since March, when the Fed stepped in to fill the lending vacuum left by
banks and Wall Street firms, officials have been dragged into murky
battles over the creditworthiness of narrow-bore industries like motor
homes, rental cars, snowmobiles, recreational boats and farm equipment
" far removed from the central bank’s expertise.

"NSA is the only place in the U.S. government that has the capabilities
we need for defense of the private networks," said a
senior fellow and cybersecurity expert at the Center for Strategic and
International Studies. "We need to find a way to use those capabilities
without putting civil liberties at risk."

CIA adopting Web 2.0 tools despite resistance
06-12-2009
•
Raw Story
The CIA is adopting Web 2.0
tools such as blogs and collaborative wikis, but not without a struggle
in an agency with an ingrained culture of secrecy, CIA officers said
Friday.
"We're still kind of in this early adoptive stage," said Sean
Dennehy, a CIA analyst and self-described "evangelist" for
Intellipedia, the US intelligence community's version of the popular
user-curated online encyclopedia Wikipedia.
"There's a lot of cultural issues we have to encounter with bringing
this kind of open source ethos into the intelligence community,"
Dennehy said during a panel discussion organized by the Washington
office of Internet giant Google.
The Central Intelligence Agency analyst recalled Mahatma Gandhi's
quote: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight
you, then you win."
"We've been ignored,

Pandemic Emergency Measures Activated At UN Request
06-12-2009
•
Lee Bellinger
WHO-Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan has raised the global pandemic alert from “Phase 5″ to the highest level of “Phase 6,” signaling a jump in swine flu cases on multiple continents and systemic person-to-person transmission. (Interestingly, the WHO’s pandemic action plan was finalized and put into full effect only two weeks before the swine flu scare began in late April.)
I bring this declaration of “Phase 6″ to your attention because the formal activation of U.S. emergency plans are now technically in effect.
Assuming the number of flu cases in the United States climb dramatically (as expected) during the flu season later this year, under the UN/WHO plan, Americans could be subjected to forced quarantine and “pharmaceutical interventions” (i.e. mandatory mass vaccinations), curtailment of public meetings and events, and the shutting down of entire school systems.

Ed Whtitacre admits he knows nothing about cars. And he was not a particularly outstanding CEO at AT & T. But that kind of thing is irrelevant. He has been named as the new CEO of General Motors because he is a reliably compliant government stooge.

The Homestead Revolution - Happy Slaves
06-12-2009
•
Ed Howes
The Homestead Revolution does not violently overthrow the status quo and corporate, money lover world. It builds a coexisting alternative to accommodate those who want out of the status quo.The greater the accommodation, the more people will opt out.The more people opt out, the less control and manipulation the corporate world wields over its remaining supporters and revolutionaries.
