This week's episode will feature the following guests:
1. Aaron Day on the movement to Free Roger Ver
Aaron R. Day is a multifaceted entrepreneur, investor, advisor, author, and political activist with nearly three decades of experience across various sectors, including e-commerce, healthcare, blockchain/cryptocurrency, AI, and clean technology. As a fellow at the Brownstone Institute and the Chairman/CEO of the Daylight Freedom Foundation, Day combines his industry expertise with a deep commitment to advancing freedom and individual liberty.
Day's political activism began in 2008, and he has since championed the cause of liberty through his involvement in non-profit advocacy, political campaigns, and authoring the best-selling book, "The Final Countdown: Crypto, Gold, Silver, and the People's Last Stand Against Tyranny by CBDCs." His insights have garnered attention from major news outlets, reflecting his significant impact on public discourse.
In addition to his professional and political endeavors, Day is an advisor to Citizens for Sound Money, an initiative to make silver and gold legal tender at the state level. He is currently offering 4-hour workshops across the country that teach people about the looming threat of CBDCs while empowering them with gold, crypto, and silver as alternatives. Day is also working on a project to create an open-source wallet and point-of-sale system for crypto, gold, and silver.
Day is a frequent keynote speaker at events across the globe, addressing topics such as the threat of CBDCs and the importance of individual freedom. Day is also the host of The Aaron Day Show podcast which features in-depth interviews on topics related to CBDCs, global tyranny, gold, crypto, and silver.

Jacob's articles regarding Ian Freeman
October 21, 2024 - Update on Ian Freeman's Case - https://www.fff.org/2024/10/21/update-on-ian-freemans-case/
*****
There have been important developments in the Ian Freeman case that I wish to update you on. Freeman is the libertarian bitcoin dealer who is serving a 9-year prison sentence in the federal court system. As I detailed in my 3-part article as well as this article, I hold that Freeman is an innocent man who has been unjustly convicted and imprisoned.
New Free Ian website and petition
A brand new great website has just popped up entitled FreeIanNow.org. (Notice the .org, not .com.) Please go visit the website and particularly note their PETITION.
Moreover, be sure to sign up to receive their updates, such as the date that oral arguments are scheduled and the address where they will take place (if they are scheduled).
It is very gratifying to see this new website and petition. The more public awareness that is brought to Ian's case, the better chance there will be for a presidential pardon or commutation of sentence, if things come to that. Equally important, it's got to boost his spirits as well.
Ian's appeal
Since my articles were published, both Freeman and the prosecution have filed their appellate briefs with the First Circuit Court of Appeals. A 3-judge panel of the appellate court will read those briefs. That panel will then decide on whether to schedule the case for oral arguments. Given the complex issues that the case presents, in my opinion the Court will schedule oral arguments in the case.
If they do schedule oral arguments, that event will be open to the public. If you want to help Ian, the best thing you could do at this point is try your best to be present for those oral arguments. I plan to be there. If they are scheduled, they will be held in Boston. I strongly recommend against protests, protest signs, or interruptions in the proceedings, as I believe those type of things are very counterproductive at the federal appellate level. Federal appellate judges do not like people suggesting that they are subject to being pressured by protests into rendering a correct decision. But a quiet presence of dozens of people during the oral arguments in an appellate case will send a strong message to the Court that Ian has a strong support base of friends and family that are concerned about his plight. In my option, this could cause the appellate panel to give more careful attention to his appeal than what might otherwise be the case.
I strongly believe that Ian has a good chance of getting his conviction and punishment reversed on appeal. But if he is unsuccessful, he then has the right to request that the entire Court of Appeals consider his appeal rather than simply a 3-judge panel. If that is unsuccessful, he has the right to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, but the odds of a successful appeal there are minimal.
If Ian's appeal fails, the only chance for early freedom will be with a presidential pardon or commutation of sentence.
Podcasts
On Wednesday of this week, October 23, I will be doing two interviews on podcasts regarding Ian's case: (1) Live! "Declare Your Independence" with Ernie Hancock and (2) the Kim Iversen Show. We will link to both podcasts on our website at fff.org.
Ian Freeman does not deserve to be in jail. He is an innocent man who has been railroaded into prison by a governmental bureaucracy that hates the financial privacy that bitcoin brings to people. He deserves to be released from prison and freed to return to his family.
