In order to cover the cost of fighting wildfires, federal land agencies are hiking taxes...er...fees and imposing new ones at recreation sites in the Western U.S. to cover the cost.
If readers will recall a while back, the USFS spent a pile of money on tazers for ALL park rangers. No training program and no guidelines, just new toys to annoy campers.
The Ranger in Charge out here has been whining about costs and "creative ways to keep the forests open" and the local media has mocked her. Her credibility is nil in this neck of the system.
