What the AP story omits about The Zetas, is that they are Ex-Mexican Special Forces Ops that were completely trained by the United States in the United States. We created La Zetas and the Gulf Cartel simply offered them more money than the Mexican Army. They maintained a training camp just east of the Arizona border town of Sasabee about 70 miles south of Tuscon.
