I wouldn't even show up a protest like that. With the combination of the recent un-Constitutional law changes that make affiliating oneself online or in person with people who end up participating in violence a terrorism charge and the hidden government rebel rousers, I wouldn't get caught 10 miles from these violent protests. I agree it is stupid to tear up their own neighbors businesses and property.

A couple things jump out at me.

First was this inner-city rage thing, why do city people destroy their own neighborhoods when this sort of thing occurs?

Next: the black masks. We know what that means. It doesn't seem like any "peaceful protest" in the Bay Area is unmarred by the anarcho-socialists. Some suspect them of being controlled opposition and some suspect they are the opposition themselves. I'm beginning to lend credence to some of this.

Next: mob mentality. It really is just that. You have to continue very loud and visible means of getting people to remember they are INDIVIDUALS. The story shows how one person rekindled violence when things might have calmed down.

Next: The streets: take 'em or loose 'em. Should our street activists be responding to these situations in an effort to prevent violence and destruction or should we stay away from all such activity?
