The first of a dozen polygamist sect members charged with abuse of women is set to stand trial today, 18 months after agents raided the group's remote ranch and carted off more than 400 children in the largest child custody case in American history.

This case sets horrendous precedent. THEY TOOK THE CHILDREN AWAY. They took the children away! They took 400+ children away from their families without a shred of evidence that any wrongdoing had taken place. I can't say that enough times.

STILL - not a single parent of any of the girls has been or is being prosecuted for facilitating these accused marriage/rapes. Not tell me again how this is not a cultural and religious persecution.
