Just a little more research and you will find that this news is actually from 2006 and not anything recent.  Either way it still isn't right.  I know the couple attempted to sue but not sure of the outcome.

The nerve of that couple! Treating their betters like they were public servants.  The judge will set them strait.  Justice will triumph.  And society will be so much safer with these questioners off the street prevented from distracting our police from the performance of their duties.
