Supremes say 'we own you bitches' on Healthcare

• The Ticket
In a victory for President Barack Obama, the Supreme Court upheld his signature health care law's individual insurance mandate in a 5-4 decision, upending speculation after hostile-seeming oral arguments in March that the justices would overturn the law. The mandate has been upheld as a tax, with Chief Justice John Roberts, a Bush appointee, joining the liberal wing of the court to save the law.

I had to get a Socialist Security card/number in order to get a job. That was in 1960.

At the bottom of my card it says "For tax purposes only, not to be used for identification."

My how things have changed -- and not for the better.

Hi, McElchap.

When Obamacare comes around, it will attach to the SS#. In most instances, if you don't have a SS#, or if you don't use a SS# at all, Obamacare will run right past you without even looking.

I would be surprised if Gene doesn't have a method for breaking the relationship between you and the SS Account you call yours. This method would have to do with the exact thing that you said, "We were deceived as to the nature of the program when we signed up." No meeting of the minds, no agreement or contract. Probably fraud on the part of Government.

The thing that counts with regard to Social Security and most activity you sign up for with Government, is NOT what you think you signed up for. It's what Government has on its records that you signed up for. If there is question, the final determination would most likely be made in court.

Most of the time, the REAL determination is made before court, just to get into court. Most of the time a person agrees that he is what the court says that he is - without knowing that he agreed to this - just to get into court. So the battle is lost from its inception. A few people use Pro Se and a fewer few use In Propria Persona.

Why do we have liars in Government, running a good portion of our lives? Probably because we were gullible enough to believe that they were telling the truth.

Is the way out easy? Probably not. But it is available.

Hey, Pure Trust!  I did not "contract" for Obamacare. As to your Social Security argument, it is nearly impossible and risky to live without the number. Also, the Supreme Court has ruled Social Security was only another tax, and not a contract, not a gurantee of benefits.  We were deceived as to the nature of the program when we signed up. As a naive 16 year old I signed up looking to join the adult world of wage earners, and was told Social Security was an old-age insurance program.  Also, the Supreme Court should be challenged on procedure in the Obamacare decision because Justice Elena Kagan did not recuse herself due to her representing Obama's national healthcare program as Solicitor General before being appointed to the court. And interestingly, Obama had repeatedly and vociferously declared Obamacare was not a tax (See his 2009 interview with Stephanopolus.)  and yet the court says it is a tax. The government always talks out of both sides of its mouth, so they can call it "Heads we win, Tails you lose."

All the Supremes did was to uphold free right to contract of the people, as is guaranteed by the Constitution. People freely signed up for Social Security. There is no law stating that you are required to have a Social Security Account and Number. It's all free choice and free contracting. Of course, as things stand now, life in America would be somewhat difficult without one. But that's your problem.

Since you have this freely signed Social Security agreement with Government, you better follow through with your end of the deal. All Government is doing is following through with their end.

If you don't like it, find out how you can get out of the agreement legally. Find out how to live without Social Security. There are ways, you know. And more are coming about by the minute. Ask Gene at TheAmericanRepublic.com.
