Court Orders Amish Girl back to ChemoTherapy Against Parents Wishes
• thelibertybeat.com An appeals court has ruled that a 10 year old Ohio Amish child can be forced to resume chemotherapy against her parents wishes. The decision comes after a lower court had twice upheld the parents right to treat their child with “natural medicine” and denied the limited medical guardianship that had been requested. The appeals court is now expected to appoint Maria Schimer, lawyer and former nurse, as medical guardian for the child.
