Canadian police are investigating the reported theft of nearly $600,000 in bitcoin loses.

The theft was reported by bitcoin exchange Flexcoin whtch the Chicago Tribune reports has now closed down due to the loss. Flexoin says it happened due to a hacker.

The Edmonton, Alberta-based Flexcoin reported the hack Monday, saying, in a statement posted on its website that it doesn’t have the resources or assets to recover from the loss.
