Laser Weapon System Is Ready For War, Less Than $1/Shot

The US Navy has a new $40 million dollar Laser Weapon System and it has performed flawlessly during operational testing in the Persian Gulf the last 4 months aboard the USS Ponce. A recently-released video embedded below demonstrates the capabilities of the 30-kilowatt laser, shooting down a drone in just seconds and sending it crashing into the sea:

If it only costs $1/shot, what is it good for? How could that be of any use to those who profit from war? And if they're "demonstrating" it in the Persian Gulf, that means that they're already using it in Gaza, Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and the other 138 countries, the Empire is currently terrorizing.
