If Tesla could take care of every single aspect for all of its products, you can bet the company would do so. Customers can get an electric car, a solar roof, a Powerwall (home storage battery), and a home charging system. Tesla has already said that it will take care of all solar roof and Powerwall installations. Now, those that buy a vehicle from the Silicon Valley automaker can opt for the company to take care of installing a home charger.
Tesla is beginning to launch its "Home Charging Installation Program", which will give buyers the option to pay Tesla to take care of that additional aspect of becoming an EV owner. The home charging situation that comes with purchasing an EV can actually be one of the more daunting and confusing facets of the taking the plunge. You can just use the vehicle's provided mobile connector and a good old 110-volt plug. However, plan on waiting an hour to add about 3 miles of range. You'd have to plug the car in for three of four days to top it off.
