Big Island resident John Kapono Carter posted a video to Facebook of a Leilani Estates home being engulfed by lava and flames on Saturday morning.

Hawaii County Civil Defense reported two eruptions near Leilani Estates on Saturday morning in the area where several fissures have already opened up on Hawaii Island — bringing the total to eight. 

"Some people are definitely going to be losing some stuff today if this keeps going," said Shane Turpin, a resident of Leilani Estates with Lava Ocean Tours.

Turpin posted a video to Facebook early Saturday morning with a video depicting what is believed to be the eighth — and newest — large fissure, surrounded by flames.
