The Senate easily confirmed the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court. Only 31 Senators took seriously their oath to uphold the Constitution and voted against this radical anti-gun nominee, with 68 voting for confirmation. All the Democrats in attendance voted for Sotomayor, while nine Republicans joined their ranks. The Republican Senators who voted for Sotomayor were: Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Christopher Bond of Missouri, Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Richard G. Lugar of Indiana, Mel Martinez of Florida, George Voinovich of Ohio and Susan Collins and Olympia J. Snowe of Maine. Many Democrat Senators campaigned on a pro-Second Amendment platform, yet voted to confirm a nominee who does not believe you have a fundamental right to self defense or an individual right to possess a firearm.

Hi Uncle Earnie,   A member of my boyfriends family was recently jumped by two men who attempted to kill him in Arkansas. They were waiting for him when he was on his way to work at around 7:30 in the morning. The men attempted to place a cloth with chemicals over his face and beat him. His wife screamed when she heard the commotion, and their son was awakened by what was happening. One of the men started toward the house and his son was forced to shoot at him...the man was killed. The other tried to flee on foot and even though their victim had been beaten he managed to get ahold of his own gun and tried to shoot at him. I thought that this might be of interest to you, because it made think twice in terms of being able to protect myself. Had they not had any protection who knows what would have happened to them. Daven.

This case outraged many rights activists, and alerted the state to the tyrannical changes that had been quietly made to self-defense law in Arizona. It also provided significant motivation for legislative changes that brought about the Castle Doctrine law, and a reversal of the corrupted burden of proof process, to the proper status it has today. Unfortunately for Mr. Fish, he suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune through no intention of his own. He merely acted to protect himself against a violent attack in the wilderness.

DESCRIPTION: Last Friday there has been a topic at AR15.com regarding an AK DIAS (drop in auto sear).
After reading the initial topic my conclusion was that there is no such thing (the matter registered or not is beyond this consideration). A search at the web resulted in the usual rumors: "There had been a guy (decades ago) who did something like that but never seen any bla bla, yada yada... Somebody else claimed having done it but wouldn't release any info...
http://www.gunsnet.net/forums/archive...

All the other full auto conversions I've seen require drilling, welding, cutting parts of the guide rails etc. - what is of course not the meaning of "drop in".

Since I'm interested in facts rather than rumors and since in principle every semi auto selfloader can be modified to shoot full auto I decided to build my own device.
In the meantime some people told me they would consider it being a Lightning Link (LL) as

The Obama administration is raising the stakes in a fight over states' rights and firearm ownership by arguing that new pro-gun laws in Montana and Tennessee are invalid. In the last few months, a grass-roots, federalist revolt against Washington, D.C. has begun to spread through states that are home to politically active gun owners. Montana and Tennessee have enacted state laws saying that federal rules do not apply to firearms manufactured entirely within the state, and similar bills are pending in Texas, Alaska, Minnesota, and South Carolina.

High Court has examined every aspect of self defense Entire nation falsely believes the issue has never come up Sotomayer Misses All 14 Self Defense Cases
In Congressional testimony, Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayer claimed she couldn't think of a self-defense case having come before the Supreme Court, adding, "I could be wrong, but I can't think of one." Independent research shows that fourteen separate Supreme Court cases, from 1895 to 1985, addressed every basic aspect of personal self defense. All of them held that self defense is a valid, justifiable and long-standing tenet of American law. The Bloomfield Press book "Supreme Court Gun Cases" (Kopel, Halbrook, Korwin), released in 2003 and in the Supreme Court's library, covers the 92 High Court gun cases in existence at that time. Four additional gun cases (plus the original 92) are included in the followup, "The Heller Case: Gun Rights Affirmed," released in

All anti-rights bills defeated, some pro-rights bills died All anti-rights bills defeated, some pro-rights bills died Basically, the state of Arizona  did very well if you're a rights supporter. by Alan Korwin, Author The Arizona Gun Owner's Guide, Gun Laws of America   Waiting until the last possible moment, Arizona governor Jan Brewer on July 13 signed all eight gun-related bills enacted by the state legislature in 2009. Two crucial bills, Constitutional Carry and penalty reduction for discreet carry without a permit, failed passage at the last minute and didn't make it to her desk. The eight bills signed into law, which will become effective on Sep. 30, 2009 (except SB 1242, effective immediately),

At least 14 gun-related bills were introduced this year, with the few anti-rights bills repudiated early in the session and defeated. One other pro-rights bill died at the end, the effort to reduce required classes to three or four hours f
