The last two presidents of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) have both been staunch advocates of increased private care. The incoming president, Anne Doig of Saskatoon, who will be installed this week, says our health-care system is "imploding." While not as committed to private options as her predecessors, Dr. Doig acknowledges our current universal public system is "unsustainable." She also argues we should not fear private options, but rather should implement whatever models from around the world -- be they public or private -- that produce the best results for patients. On the other hand, the physician who will replace Dr. Doig next summer, Ottawa's Dr. Jeff Turnbull, promises to be a passionate defender of the government health monopoly during his one-year term.

to The Mail on Sunday, leading to demands to know why the information
has not been given to the public before the vaccination of millions of
people, including children, begins.
It tells the neurologists
that they must be alert for an increase in a brain disorder called
Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), which could be triggered by the vaccine.
GBS attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breathe, and can be fatal.
In the last few weeks we have seen a huge push-back on the part of seniors against Obamacare. They have turned out in droves to town hall meetings and other gatherings to ask questions or to simply object to the plan, as is their wont. We have seen push-back against the elderly on the part of Democrats, who claimed that the very people who fought the Nazis were carrying swastikas, or were only attending these gatherings in order to get on YouTube. be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of
treating them.

In that article, Singer wrote

and recover in a few days. So why are the Governments pushing for
mandatory vaccinations?
This is pure hype over a non existent killer

This is not about civil discourse. This is about propaganda. What a deal for those companies--a captive market of 300 million people! There will be little or no effort to control prices, and the higher costs will be financed through higher taxes..

Perhaps in America health care costs “more” (largely due to Government interference). But we get twice as much, we don’t have to wait for it, and we are still (at least partially) free to make our own decisions, including the decision to not insure.

The Senate Finance Committee will drop a controversial provision on consultations for end-of-life care from its proposed healthcare bill, its top Republican member said Thursday.
The committee, which has worked on putting together a bipartisan healthcare reform bill, will drop the controversial provision after it was derided by conservatives as "death panels" to encourage euthanasia.
"On the Finance Committee, we are working very hard to avoid unintended consequences by methodically working through the complexities of all of these issues and policy options," Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in a statement. "We dropped end-of-life provisions from consideration entirely because of the way they could be misinterpreted and implemented incorrectly."

Health care reforms are turning into health care revolts. Americans are turning up the heat on congressmen in town hall meetings across the U.S.
While watching these political hot August nights, I decided to research the reasons so many are opposed to Obamacare to separate the facts from the fantasy. What I discovered is that there are indeed dirty little secrets buried deep within the 1,000-plus page health care bill.
Time and again, President Obama has portrayed himself as the voice of reason, combating "myths" and "misinformation." But the president made an embarrassing series of gaffes during a town hall meeting on healthcare Tuesday. His most egregious error: claiming that AARP endorsed his plan, forcing the organization for older Americans to issue a correction stating that it has not done so.
"I'm not going to complain about being organized. They have a right to
speak," he said, "but I think we have to explain, they're not
necessarily representative of America. I think they're vocal. I don't
think they're representative."
Specter said he didn't think people opposed to various health care
proposals have a right to disrupt public meetings on the issue.
