Economic 9-11: Did Lehman Brothers Fall or Was It Pushed?
09-07-2009
•
Huffington Post
If Lehman was indeed sacrificed, who pushed it and to what end? Some critics point to Henry Paulson and his cronies at Goldman Sachs, Lehman's arch rival. Goldman certainly came out on top after Lehman's demise, but there were other possibilities as well, involving more global players. The month after Lehman collapsed, Gordon Brown and the EU leaders called for using the financial crisis as an opportunity to radically enhance the regulatory power of global institutions. Brown spoke of "a new global financial order," echoing the "new world order" referred to by globalist banker David Rockefeller when he said in 1994We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the new world order.Richard Haas, President of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations, wrote in 2006:
Globalisation . . . implies that sovereignty is not only becoming weaker in reality, but that it needs to become weaker.

Reversal of Precedents at Issue

Washington Post
The Supreme Court's unusual hearing Wednesday on the role corporations
can play in influencing elections carries the potential not only for
rewriting the nation's campaign finance laws but also for testing the
willingness of the court led by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. to
defy the decisions of Congress and to set aside its own precedents.

U.S. Tried to Soften Treaty on Detainees
09-07-2009
•
Washington Post
From 2003 to 2006, the Bush administration quietly tried to relax the
draft language of a treaty meant to bar and punish "enforced
disappearances" so that those overseeing the CIA's secret prison system
would not be criminally prosecuted under its provisions, according to
former officials and hundreds of pages of documents recently
declassified by the State Department.

As Cheaper Chinese Tires Roll In, Obama Faces an Early Trade Test

Obama must decide whether to slap a 55 percent tariff on tires imported
from China, as recommended by a federal trade panel, or leave the
matter alone, as a phalanx of lobbyists representing manufacturers in
China and U.S. companies that import from them are urging.

Is Obama Forming a “Shadow Government?”
09-07-2009

Hot Air
Today, President Barack H. Obama appointed yet another “czar”, making the announcement at an AFL-CIO Laborious Day picnic in Cincinnati today; Ron Bloom will make the 33rd Obamic Czar, counting Van Jones, who just resigned but will surely be replaced with a less explosive (but every bit as Marxist) appointee, and after Obama taps someone else to fill Bloom’s old position as Car Czar.In each case, the One has replaced functions normally carried out by cabinets or other agencies, headed by secretaries and directors who are subject to Senate confirmation (thus accountable to the United States Congress), with unelected, unconfirmed, unaccountable apparatchiks who ultimately answer to only one person: Barack Obama. The departments raided of their authority in favor of Czars include the Departments of State, Defense, Homeland Security, Justice, Treasury, Health and Human Services, Labor, Interior, Energy, Commerce, and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) " that’s the entire cabinet except for

G20 highlights changing world order
09-07-2009
•
The Star
20 finance leaders have agreed to coordinate a removal of emergency economic packages when recovery takes firm hold, but they struggled on the detail of measures to rein in bank pay and lending rules at the root of the recent crisis. With the global economy looking brighter than it had in April when Group of 20 finance ministers and central bankers last met, the focus shifted from crisis-fighting to figuring out how to establish a safer financial system for the future. The G20 statement Saturday showed agreement that emerging nations such as India and China should have a greater say in the running of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank but did not offer up any formula of how this should be achieved.

and not so much as a spent bullet left behind.

PhotoRadarScam Update... and how you can help
09/07/2009
•
CameraFRAUD
While the battle against photo enforcement is going well, we cannot stop even for a moment. The enemy is busy planning new PR campaigns and gearing up for a massive media war for when the ballot initiative signatures are turned in. They are well-funded, while our effort relies on the time, money, and effort of the volunteers for our grass roots organization.
CameraFRAUD’s sister site, PhotoRadarScam.com, needs help researching and gathering data and news for articles to show the deadly truth behind the scameras. If you have a few hours throughout the week and are good with following up and being persistent, email Ryan at contact@photoradarscam.com. He needs help from people who are willing to send inquiries to local police departments, DPS, ADOT, or other agencies including submitting Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to obtain the data we need.

In order to fully comprehend how the events involving the Arctic Sea vessel could even remotely have any link to 9/11, it is necessary to view the video or read the transcripts of the deposition of Sibel Edmonds, former FBI translator and whistleblower.Interestingly, the deposition of Ms. Edmonds was brought about not by an inquest into the events of 9/11, but as a result of complaints filed by Ohio Second District Congresswoman Jean Schmidt of Cincinnati against independent candidate David Krikorian. In a rather ironic twist, her deposition was a product of a lawsuit filed by Schmidt over allegations made about contributions to her by the Turkish lobby.

Goldman Sachs Is Not Capitalism: On a Very Confused Michael Moore
09-07-2009
•
Economic Policy Journal
Michael Moore is one confused theorist. In his latest movie, Capitalism: A Love Story, he tells us at the end the end of his two hour movie that "Capitalism is an evil, and you cannot regulate evil."
He wants to replace capitalism with, get this, "You have to eliminate it and replace it with something that is good for all people and that something is democracy."
Last I looked, democracy was a political system, and capitalism was an economic system. There is no reason you can't have a democratic socialist system, or for that matter, a democratic capitalist system. There is no reason you can't have a socialist dictatorship or capitalistic dictatorship. There's no mutually exclusivity between political systems and economic systems. In other words, Moore doesn't know what the hell he is talking about.
As for capitalism itself, Moore seems to think it is Goldman Sachs and other banking institutions that are the beginning and end of capitalism. He

Pastor who prays for Obama's death calls reporter a jerk
09-07-2009
•
Tim Vetscher ABC15
A controversial Tempe pastor who admits he prays for the President's death got into a heated exchange with a reporter for the Phoenix New Times newspaper Sunday.
Pastor Steven Anderson and Reporter Stephen Lemons got into the argument following Sunday night services outside Anderson's Faithful Word Baptist Church near 48th Street and Southern.
Lemons and Anderson argued after the New Times' reporter began questioning the pastor about his other job, installing commercial fire alarms.
"Are you running a church and business at the same place," asked Lemons.
"I'm
not running a church and business at the same place," responded
Anderson. "You are trying to make up a story. You're a liar."
"I don't operate a business here," continued Anderson. "I store equipment here." See RAW VIDEO of the argument

I'm living alone on an island all by myself and one day you wash up. You ask to live on the other side and since there is plenty of room, I say sure. In the coming years your family grows so large that you can no longer care for them and you come over to my side of the island demanding I hunt your food for you. Socialism is that simple, and that wrong.

Why not spend $21 billion on solar power from space?

The Japanese government is prepared to spend some 2 trillion yen on a one-gigawatt orbiting solar power station"and
this week Mitsubishi and other Japanese companies have signed on to

of the superefficient Spectrolab variety but more likely domestically sourced from Mitsubishi or Sharp"the space solar power station would orbit some 36,000 kilometers above Earth and transmit power via microwave or laser beam.

Violence between Raza and African prisoners

San Francisco Bay View
Once again, major violence between Raza and African prisoners has erupted within the United States Concentration Camp (Prison) System, this time at Chino California State Prison. Beginning at 8:20 on Saturday evening, Aug. 8, African and Raza (Latino) prisoners, in the most brutal fashion, slashing, cutting, hitting each other with anything that could get their hands on, battled for more than 11 hours. Over 200 were hurt, several critically, with severe head injuries or stab wounds. Blood was spilled everywhere. Many of those involved will be scarred and maimed for life, both physically and mentally.

Gold, little changed near a six-
month high in London today, may rise toward $1,000 an ounce as a
weakening dollar increases the metal’s appeal as an alternative
investment. Silver climbed to a 13-month high.
The dollar slipped as much as 0.4 percent against the euro
as a report showed European investor confidence increased for a
second month in September. Gold tends to rise when the greenback
weakens. Bullion last surpassed $1,000 on Feb. 20.

"Capitalism is evil," says new Michael Moore film
09-07-2009
•
Reuters
Capitalism is evil. That is the conclusion U.S. documentary maker
Michael Moore comes to in his latest movie "Capitalism: A Love Story."
Blending his trademark humor with tragic individual stories, archive
footage and publicity stunts, the 55-year-old launches an all out
attack on the capitalist system, arguing that it benefits the rich and
condemns millions to poverty.
"Capitalism is an evil, and you cannot regulate evil," the two-hour movie concludes. [Actually you can't regulate capitalism, or it isn't capitalism.]

The new genes appear to have at least as big a role as four others

Alzheimer's.
Two of the genes described in the new research may be involved in
determining the brain's capacity to clear itself of toxic "amyloid"
proteins that collect outside neurons, eventually poisoning them.
