Pay Up or the Earth Gets It! – #PropagandaWatch

• 10/17/2018 • 0 Comments

As predicted, the IPCC has released their hot air report on 1.5C of global warming and the lamestream fake news lying establishment lapdog media is hyping it as the end of the world as we know it…unless you pay the globalists more money to atone for your carbon sins, of course. This week on #PropagandaWatch James breaks down the latest propaganda push for carbon eugenics and what it means for the coming technocratic slave state.

How Bad Global Warming Science Hurts the Environmental Movement

• 10/12/2018

Jim Steele was the Director of the Sierra Nevada Field Campus of San Francisco State University from 1985 to 2009. Having taught courses on plants, natural sciences, bird banding and bird identification, his research into the causes of the declines in local bird populations led him to the understanding that natural climate cycles and landscape changes were causing disruptions of wildlife populations. He went on to author a book, Landscapes & Cycles: An Environmentalist's Journey to Climate Skepticism, and a website, LandscapesAndCycles.net where he explores how faulty, over-hyped C02-driven climate change fears are misdirecting environmental researchers and activists away from the true cause of environmental disruption.

Crime Pays (If You're in Government)

• 10/14/2018 • 13 Comments

"The weed of crime bears bitter fruit. Crime does not pay. The Shadow knows!"

Perhaps you're old enough to remember this tag line from the 1930s radio dramatization of The Shadow. Or perhaps, like me, you spent your childhood listening to "Those Old Radio Shows" on your local radio station before going to bed every night. Or perhaps you're only familiar with Woody Allen's retort that "I think crime pays. The hours are good, you travel a lot."

But however you encountered the "crime does not pay" formulation, you've doubtless heard it and internalized it. Of course it's true. Crime doesn't pay and the good guys always win in the end. Right?

Well, let's examine this old adage for a moment. Why is it necessary to point out the poor remuneration of crime in the first place? We generally don't go around pointing out things that are self-evidently true or just plain common sense, so there must be some reason people need to be reminded that crime is not a profitable endeavor. And that reason can only be that many people believe it to be rewarding, financially or otherwise.

So why would they think that?

Sadly, one does not look very far to understand why people need to be constantly told that "crime does not pay." And that is because crime does, in fact, pay. Quite handsomely, in fact. . . . if you're in government.

We all know that government is a den of crooks . . . but there's no harm in refreshing our memory now and then, is there? Join James for this week's The Corbett Report Subscriber where he breaks down the government racket and how it works to line the pockets of the politicians. The Carbon Bubble Cometh (and Open Thread)

• 10/09/2018 • 140 Comments

by James Corbett
corbettreport.com
October 9, 2018

So as I (p)reported this weekend, all the usual suspects in the lying, fake news-promoting, bankster-funded corporate mouthpiece media have responded to the latest hot air from the IPCC by dutifully repeating the line that we only have 12 YEARS TO AVERT CLIMATE ARMAGEDDON!!1! And how will we avert this disaster, precisely? By raising carbon taxes and blowing the trillion-dollar carbon trading bubble, of course. Yay.

For those who are confused by the fact that we had only 3 YEARS TO AVERT DISASTER!!1! last year, don't fret too much over the discrepancy. As I detailed at the time, we've been getting different X YEARS TO AVERT DISASTER!!1! warnings for the last 30+ years now, all of which set a different, completely arbitrary timeline for the end of the world. To which the global warming true believers respond: "Details shmeetails, it's Settled Science™! End of argument!"

So while I'm off this week working on my next major project (coming to The Corbett Report in the very near future), I'll take the liberty of reposting some of my previous work on the climate issue. These include reports exposing the IPCC; drilling down on the actual science behind the doomporn platitudes; interviewing actual climate scientists; exposing the data fabrication which the climate cult regularly engages in; and explaining the carbon eugenics philosophy which (aside from the obvious financial incentives) motivates the whole scheme. Stay tuned to the front page of corbettreport.com for a different "featured video" from the climate change archives every day.

In the meantime, as I mentioned at the tail end of last week's New World Next Week, I am taking this week off from new productions while I'm busy working on my next project, so Corbett Report members are invited to use this space to comment on these developments or whatever else is on your mind. It's an open thread, so feel free to discuss all the latest news or open up discussion on more esoteric matters. Links, resources, insightful commentary and respectful disagreement always welcomed, of course.

The IPCC Prepares to Release More Hot Air

• 10/07/2018 • 34 Comments

The IPCC is preparing to release a "Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 ºC."

That sentence alone should be enough to make everyone within earshot duck for cover from the coming barrage of climate-related doomporn. But, sadly, half of the public will actively cheer the occasion and the other half will have no idea what is even happening. This is as sure a sign as any that the propagandists of the Global Warming Fear Cult (and their corporate/bankster/globalist backers) have succeeded in the most successful brainwashing campaign in the history of humanity.

Allow me to explain . . .

Discover what the globalist carbon eugenicists and their pals in the mainstream mockingbird media don't want you to know about the upcoming IPCC report in this week's editorial. For full access to the subscriber newsletter, and to support this website, please become a member.

Hour 2

Vin Suprynowicz
Libertarian Author comes on the show to discuss the current political theater surrounding campaigns

Deep in the Nevada desert, in a hidden mansion full of old books and vintage clothes, guarded by five anthropomorphic cats and a family of Attack Roadrunners, Vin Suprynowicz went cold turkey from a 40-year newspaper career. They said he'd never write anything over a thousand words, again. But with the help and encouragement of the Brunette and a few close friends, he came back. With "The Testament of James" — about the modern-day search for a lost book revealing the long-suppressed secret of Jesus and the manna — he proved them wrong.

Now comes the second adventure of Matthew Hunter and Chantal Stevens. "The Miskatonic Manuscript" asks the question that victims of the Drug War have been waiting a hundred years to hear: "What if they fought a War on Drugs . . . and someone fought back?

The bibliomysteries of Matthew Hunter and Chantal Stevens are based in the used bookstore "Books on Benefit," in H.P. Lovecraft's Providence, Rhode Island. Vin edited and published the weekly Providence Eagle from 1980-1985.

He began his writing career with the alternative weekly Hartford Advocate (writing part-time and driving the delivery truck at night), eventually giving up honest work entirely to become an award-winning reporter for the daily Willimantic Chronicle, news editor of the daily Norwich Bulletin, and managing editor of the daily Northern Virginia Sun.

Vin worked on the Las Vegas Review Journal Opinion section, winning numerous industry awards, through the great Las Vegas boom. He rode it a bit further into the ground than Tom Mitchell, finally exiting in 2013. For the past six years, he has sold vintage and collectible books online at https://www.abebooks.com/cats-curiosities-pahrump-nv-u.s.a/51238921/sf (newest arrivals atwww.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sortby=0&vci=51238921 ) as "Cat's Curiosities."

In an earlier life, Vin published two collections of his daily Libertarian newspaper columns, "Send in the Waco Killers" and "The Ballad of Carl Drega," and the freedom novel "The Black Arrow." He continues to write his monthly column on the politics of gun control for Firearms News (previously Shotgun News.)

The latest lengthy interview with Vin about his writing was posted by Claire Wolfe at her blog at Backwoods Home magazine on Sunday Jan. 4 and Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. Unfortunately, it appears the publishers have now deleted all such material.

Vin's Recent Articles...

1. Three weeks to go

Gosh, have the Democrats ever screwed themselves.

Should I not be gloating over the stunningly bad generalship of those who lead my own former party?

Mind you, the pendulum had to start swinging back after decades of increasingly bizarre, Crypto-communist, anti-American globalism. Women's sports events being won by big, muscular men who grow their hair our, put on lipstick, and say they "identify" as women? Little girls being raped by cross-dressing hairy apes in the Little Girls' room? ( https://dailycaller.com/2017/10/19/transgender-person-convicted-of-sexually-abusing-10-year-old-girl-in-bathroom/ ) American workers being told "The factory went away, your job went away, there's nothing anyone can do about it, since no one has a 'magic wand'"? ( https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/281936-obama-to-trump-what-magic-wand-do-you-have ) Illegal aliens who keep coming back after being deported again and again, till they finally get busted for rape and/or murder, and a San Francisco jury lets them off because "the stolen gun did it"? ( https://www.foxnews.com/us/kate-steinles-accused-killer-found-not-guilty-of-murder-to-be-deported )

And liberal judges say if they re-enter with a kidnapped tot, you can't "separate that family" and therefore you have to let both the kidnapped tot and his pederast go free (together) inside America, so long as they promise to "come back to court" next year? ( https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jun/7/illegal-immigrants-kidnapping-children-to-sneak-in/ .)

The shifting tide, first confused, then sluggish, then starting to build and race, needed a leader. Donald Trump, unbribable, stepped forward, willing to stare down the legions of braying leftist hyenas. He would almost certainly have defeated these snarling, mocking, bragging orcs and their tired talking points, eventually. But what did the Democrat opposition immediately start to do? Like the dazed football lineman who recovers the fumble and runs it back to the wrong end zone, the Democrats promptly started scoring what the soccer folks call "own goals."

What did Miss Hillary say in the third debate, about accepting the results of an election? "That is not the way our democracy works. We've been around for 240 years. We've had free and fair election. We've accepted the outcomes when we may not have liked them. And that is what must be expected of anyone standing on a debate stage during a general election."

Have Hillary Clinton and the Democrat Party for which she still speaks — neither she nor "Barry The Stoner" having gone into quiet retirement, as is our tradition — "accepted the outcome" of the 2016 election, even if "they may not have liked them?"

Like hell! It appears only Republicans are expected to follow those rules. From day one they have attempted to meddle with the Electoral College, then tried to get underlings to "wear a wire" in hopes they could claim that our best trade and treaty negotiator in a hundred years could be removed for being "mentally ill" and spending all his time watching "The Gorilla Channel." (see https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/367666-twitter-falls-for-parody-gorilla-channel-excerpt-from-new-trump . . . , . . . and https://www.foxnews.com/politics/rosenstein-reportedly-discussed-wearing-wire-invoking-25th-amendment-against-trump .)

They've launched a huge and thoroughly illegal campaign to get Donald Trump removed from office on trumped-up charges of "Russian Collusion" based on a salacious dossier about peeing Russian whores which the HILLARY CLINTON CAMPAIGN PAID $200 MILLION to have manufactured out of thin air by former British spy Christopher Steele and the lovely Mrs. Nellie Ohr, with the full knowledge and cooperation of Theresa May, James Comey, Robert Mueller, Loretta Lynch, John Brennan and Barack Obama.

Oh yeah. Sedition and fraud sell SO well out in Middle America.

In Congress, my former colleagues could have said — as losing parties have almost always said, over the two centuries of our republic — "OK, you guys won, but you could still use our help, so let's see where we have some areas of common ground where we can help you get some things done."

Is that what cackling Chuck Schumer and "You can take that to the bank" Nancy Pelosi ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSR0PvG9F_I ) and Dianne Feinstein have said? Like hell! It's been "Resist, Obstruct, Delay," even for the most minor and routine appointments.

Donald Trump gets accused by Leslie Stahl of "dividing us"? He offered the Democrats an amnesty deal for their "DACA Dreamers" with cream and sugar and strawberries on top! They said, "What, and let Trump brag that he ACCOMPLISHED something? Not on your life!"

A PROMISE OF CHAOS

Why? Evidently they believe this all plays well with the shrieking, head-banging extreme of the Democrat base. Hey, they all seemed to love this stuff at our lucrative fund-raising dinners in Hollywood, Berkeley, Greenwich Village and Cambridge, Massachusetts. What could go wrong?

But they "obstructed and resisted" one bridge too far — they let the true nature of their loathsome enterprise be seen in the plain light of day — when their paid shills started shrieking and braying in the gallery during the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation process, and then the nation sat with jaws agape as Vermont Democrat Patrick Leahy quizzed the distinguished nominee about high-school slang terms for human flatulence, while Japanese-born Mazie Hirono insisted the federal organization charged with catching spies and traitors should devote as many months and man-hours as necessary to investigating whether Brett Kavanugh drank beer in high school!

Delay! Obstruct! Delay!

Miracle of miracles, the Senate Democrats actually went so far that they transplanted spines into such former GOP jellyfish as Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, Susan Collins, and Mitch McConnell!

Their reward? They'll lose 4 to 8 percent of their base to the "Walk Away" movement this Nov. 6, for starters –- and eventually an outright majority of black and Hispanic Americans will join the blue-collar, Christian white folks who went to the polls in 2016, propagandized by our lying media into believing "Oh well, Trump can't win. But you know what? I hate the cross-dressing, Crayola-haired Open Borders Democrats, and the Smug and Arrogant Lying News Media propagandists, and those Wall Street millionaires who shut down the plant and sold all our machine tools to the Chinese, and those smug, know-it-all Hollywood fancy boys who've never raised a callus on their hands, and a bunch of millionaire Negroes (yes, the AVERAGE salary in the NFL is now more than $1 million per year) taking a knee during the national anthem to show how badly they've been treated in America, all sneering and talking down to me and trying to tell me I should feel GUILTY ABOUT BEING WHITE. In fact, I hate them SO MUCH that I'm going to cast a hopeless vote for Trump anyway, just to tell them all FUUUUCK YOUUU!"

Imagine their surprise and delight when it actually worked. They woke up in the morning and the witch Hillary was NOT President! And then they watched the arrogant Left's response, and remembered that someone once said "Who the gods would destroy, they first make mad."

Kanye West goes to the White House and speaks his mind about the good that Donald Trump is doing for the country – EVERYONE in the country — and the network television equivalents of Baghdad Bob tell us "It's a minstrel show! Any negro who don't toe the Leftist Party Line is obviously mentally ill! How dare that runaway Uncle Tom try to leave our Liberal Welfare Plantation?" ( https://townhall.com/tipsheet/leahbarkoukis/2018/10/12/don-lemon-on-kanyes-minstrel-show-n2527721 .)

You think that kind of transparent panic is going to keep black folk IN LINE? Then who's the racist?

Republican voters are "coming home" to a Republican party which is now the Trump Republican Party. Independent voters, by a ratio of at least 7 to 3, want the parties to work together in Washington to "solve problems and get things done." You think they're going to vote for "Resist, Delay and Obstruct?" You think they're going to vote for open borders, sanctuary cities, and letting tens of thousands of MS-13 gangsters AND WORSE swarm into this country, bringing disease and death in their wake? ( https://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2018/10/14/democrats-advised-not-speak-unpopular-open-borders-policies-very-difficult-win-immigration/ .)

"Shut down ICE"? Wow! What a brilliant campaign platform! What's next? Ban beer, pickup trucks, and hunting rifles, and then castrate all the white male Christians? Oh, wait . . .
https://dailycaller.com/2018/10/01/georgetown-professor-white-republicans-castrated/ , . . . and . . . ( https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2018/10/15/retired-feminist-professsor-in-washpo-i-wish-all-men-were-dead/ .)

FROM THE HILLS AND THE HOLLOWS

Let me tell you what's happening right now, even if the mainstream media either hasn't noticed or refuses to report it. Hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of law-abiding American citizens who probably haven't voted in decades — why bother, when the only choice was between a bought-off Goldman Sachs Democrat lawyer and a bought-off Goldman-Sachs Republican lawyer? — millions of people who wish they'd voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and who have figured out they now have just two more chances, in 2018 and 2020 – have been streaming in from the hills and the hollows over the past two months, walking or hitching rides or heading into town in battered pickups from those distant mountains and deserts out there on the horizon, from truckstops and trailer parks, asking "How do I register to vote Republican?"

Meantime, what have the Democrats and their captive media and their "Suppression pollsters" changed in their deeply flawed methodology since they blew it in 2016?

Nothin'.

Same old losing, anti-American platform. Cripple the American economy — and ONLY the American economy — to fight made-up "Global Warming." (Icebergs are calving off glaciers in Greenland, says Leslie Stahl, and THAT PROVES IT!) Every woman who claims someone tried to cop a feel through her shirt 32 years ago has to be believed, no presumption of innocence . . . but only if the alleged groper was a Republican, you understand.

It's like watching a circus act so old that the dogs supposedly jumping through the little hoops have actually been stuffed and embalmed and are now hanging from little wires, with tufts of dead fur fraying and peeling off around the edges.

No pause to consider, "Gee, come to think of it, I guess Hillary didn't really promise to do anything to help average Americans. Do you suppose we ought to at least PROMISE to do some of that stuff?" Nope, just mock the Trump people for waving American flags, steal their hats, throw drinks in their faces, wear masks while you break windows and set fires, hassle them when they try to go to a restaurant. This is playing SO well with all those shocked "Independent" voters out there. This is the future they want for their kids and grandkids?

The pollsters — who are about as "neutral and objective" as CNN and Chris Wallace, Don Lemon and Leslie Stahl — still over-sample Democrats by 8 percent. They still haven't figured out that a huge number of people no longer have land-line telephones at all, and those who do screen their calls and aren't about to pick up for anyone saying, "Hi, Mr. Fillibuster? I'm calling from the Associated Press/Times Mirror/New York Times/Quinnipiac Community College. I just have 23 simple push-poll questions starting with 'Would you still favor Donald Trump if I told you he roasts and eats cute little puppy dogs?' Hello? Anyone there?"

And if they DO reach a Trump voter and that Trump voter gives them an anatomical suggestion and hangs up, do they count that "fuck you" as a Republican vote? They do not.

So you can figure any race called a "tossup" by the pollsters today is likely to go Republican by 6 to 8 points. Any race called "leaning Democrat by 4" is likely to go Republican by 4 points, and any race called "Democrat by 6 to 8 points" is . . . a tossup.

On Ernie Hancock's "Declare Your Independence" radio show out of Phoenix a month ago ( https://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Program-Page.htm?No=0001 ) I said Republicans would likely gain six to eight seats in the Senate. I'm sticking with that number. The House is harder to gauge — 435 races, all with different local arcana — but note that Democrats are trying to FLIP 23 seats, when in politics the advantage usually goes to the incumbent. Any moderately competent Congressman has a good-sized staff to help constituents who report a problem with some federal agency, and every problem resolved is another FULL FAMILY voting for that incumbent.

Yes, Democrats have a lot of small-footprint seats along the densely populated coast of California and the Amtrak corridor from Washington to Boston. But where do they plan to find two dozen NEW seats, out there in Flyover Country? Most of those "blue wave" predictions are based on the idea that the president's party loses seats in the midterm elections in a typical year. But who on earth believe this is a typical year?

THE WAY THINGS LOOK TO ME, THREE WEEKS OUT FROM NOV. 6:

The supposedly endangered Republican Senate seats? Dean Heller in Nevada; Ted Cruz in Texas; Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee; Martha McSally in Arizona, short-term appointee Cindy Hyde-Smith in Mississippi: Miss Hyde-Smith isn't exactly running a bold campaign, but it's better to win cautiously than to lose boldly: REPUBLICANS HOLD ALL FIVE, with the first four already pulling away. (Special award to Arizona Democrat and former Green Party agitator Kyrsten Sinema, who's blowing a lede like it was a fat line of cocaine: Your clown shoes are ready, Kyrsten. They'll go well with the pink tutu.)

SIX REPUBLICAN GAINS:

State auditor MATT ROSENDALE has pulled within 4 points of Jon Tester in Montana. I'd previously written him off; Mr. Rosendale should send flowers and candy to his benefactors, Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris of the Senate Judiciary Committee: a Republican takeaway where Brett Kavanaugh will have made the difference (though Tester's shameful slanders against Admiral Ronny Jackson didn't help him.)

KARIN HOUSLEY, supposedly down 3 in Minnesota, beats Tina Smith (Democrat Farm Labor) in a special election to fill the seat vacated by comedian Al Franken. Another forfeit to the credit of Dianne Feinstein & Company, though Donald Trump's tireless parade of rallies — including the one where he called Housley to the podium — sure helped.

(The pollsters, by the way, are again repeating their error of attributing zero effect to Mr. Trump's tireless campaigning. Let's see, 30 rallies in 60 days, with crowds of 25,000 and then another 10,000 standing outside because they couldn't get in, means those who were willing to wait in line in the cold and the rain for hour upon hour to see their champion in person add up to A MILLION PEOPLE. And this doesn't tell them something different is going on? They still believe it's all about paid 30-second TV commercials? What current Democrat could draw 1 percent of those numbers?)

MIKE BRAUN will beat incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly in very red Indiana.

GOV. RICK SCOTT is already pulling away from tin-eared and cadaverous 76-year-old Bill Nelson (the state's last statewide Democrat offfice-holder) in Florida.

JOSH HAWLEY of Missouri, a brilliant graduate of Yale Law School who clerked for the Supreme Court -– future Supreme Court material, himself? -– was running away from Claire McCaskill, who voted against Brett Kavanaugh based on the Left's trumped-up last-minute lies about "trying to cop a feel" at an imaginary pool party 32 years ago — even before Project Veritas caught her admitting she wants to ban the standard-size magazines without which most semi-automatic rifles and pistols won't work. ( https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/10/red-state-blues-okeefe-strikes-in-missouri-mccaskill-and-clan-exposed-as-fakes-in-guns-lies-and-videotape/ .) Supposed "moderate" Claire McCaskill is toast.

STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL PATRICK MORISSEY, who I'd previously written off in West Virginia, is now winning. He's officially closed within 1 point of incumbent Joe Manchin, who hoped being the lone Democrat vote for Brett Kavanaugh would prove his "independence." Sorry; Joe: See "Walk Away" and "Vote the straight red ticket." Now, if you'd just thought ahead far enough to actually change parties . . .

CONGRESSMAN KEVIN CRAMER is running over incumbent Heitcamp in North Dakota like a herd of buffalo. Democrat Mary Kathryn "Heidi" Hetikamp is toast.

THE TWO REMAINING TOSSUPS

JIM RENACCI challenging incumbent Sherrod Brown in Ohio: still too steep a hill to climb? It's certainly closer than we're being told.

Underfunded JIM NEWBERGER vs. Amy Klobuchar, this year's SECOND Minnesota Senate race: I'd love to see the arrogant Miss Klobuchar taken down, but since the mainstream media give this one to Klobuchar by at least 9 points, it will all depend on whether it rains. If Nov. 6 dawns bright and sunny in Minnesota, Klobuchar wins. But Democrat voters are like my pussycats; they don't like rain. In rain or snow, Newberger retains a chance.

FOUR BRIDGES TOO FAR

I'm not knocking these Republicans, mind you. But unless Mr. Trump has an ace up his sleeve – like Crooked Bob Mueller throwing in the towel and admitting "No one colluded with the Russians except Hillary, Perkins-Coie, GPS Fusion, and the whole Obama Justice Department; what you OUGHT to be investigating are Uraniumgate, the destruction of emails already under subpoena, and the Crooked Clinton Foundation," I fear these four races — three of which I previously saw as "strong possibles" — may fall short:

Iraq war combat vet (he flew helicopters) and a businessman/job creator, JOHN JAMES vs. Democrat Debbie Stabenow in Michigan is the one I most regret. A problem of name recognition, apparently. (Stabenow has outspent her challenger 6-to-1, and has declined to give him the exposure he'd get in a televised debate.) Hopefully Mr. James won't go away.

LEAH VUKMIR vs. Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin. It takes money and name recognition to take out an incumbent, and Baldwin has been smart enough to keep her radical socialist extremism under wraps.

LOU BARLETTA vs. Bob Casey in Pennsylvania. Never caught on.

BOB HUGIN in New Jersey. I had high hopes, here. How on earth the locals can stick with that crook Menendez remains a puzzle. Like Joe Biden, he even seems to prefer little girls. But there's always a certain level of "He's OUR crook, goddammit."

IN THE HOUSE

I don't know how anyone can claim to do anything scientific here -– it's like counting a herd of 425 squalling tomcats and then trying to pick winners. But a few highlights:

YVETTE HERRELL is up over water attorney Xochitl Torres Small in New Mexico's 2nd District -– a Republican "hold."

The pollsters show incumbent DANA ROHRABACHER tied with well-funded challenger Harley Rouda in California 48th (Huntington Beach.) California is largely incomprehensible to us normals, but I'd expect the incumbent to prevail, even if Mr. Rohrabacher's people wouldn't tell me how to send them any money.

Same thing next door in California 49: Republican DIANE HARKEY should be able to hang on against challenger Mike (not Mark) Levin.

I suspect DAVE BRAT will hang on despite currently being reported a few points down in the polling in Virginia's 7th District. The D.C. suburbs have made Virginia look blue for awhile now, but this district is closer to Richmond, and Brat took the Seventh by 58-42 in 2016, outpolling Trump, who took the district by 50-44.

In Florida's 23rd District (Miami Beach), incumbent Debbie Wasserman Schultz is weighed down with enough scandals to sink two or three candidates. First she rigged the 2016 Democrat primaries for Crooked Hillary. Then there was that little matter of her weirdly protective behavior toward the two Pakistani brothers who basically downloaded the entire database of the House of Representatives onto a disc and hauled it to Pakistan. ("The Awan brothers," The Brunette keeps reminding me, "AWAN, Vin, not 'A-Wad.'")

Yet strangely enough, the most likely cause of Debbie Wasserman Schultz's political demise three weeks from now is not her long train of scandal baggage, nor even the talents and charms of her GOP challenger, Joe Kaufman (though Kaufman is my kind of guy, his main activity being to research and expose supposed "charities" that actually fund Muslim terrorism.)

No, the incumbent's biggest problem is that the guy who came in second behind her in the Democrat primary, Tim Canova, stayed in the race as an Independent, and will now split the Democrat vote. Joe Kaufman informed me today the only recent poll in the race has him up 40-39 over Schultz. The poll was one of those "answer the robot and speak clearly" kind of things, not generally given a lot of credence, but Kaufman reports the sample was a huge 11,000. And in this one, 40 percent could be enough to win.

I also expect Republican MARIA ELVIRA SALAZAR to beat Democrat Donna Shalala in the 27th — a GOP takeaway — and gubernatorial candidate RON DESANTIS to surge and triumph over crypto-Communist Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum (who wants "real action on climate change" and who promises to improve the public schools by getting rid of, you know, "testing.")

And finally, here in my home state of Nevada, which isn't REALLY blue, I like the chances of DANNY TARKANIAN and CRESENT HARDY -– each currently reported to be down by 2 points -– for Congress. Though it would sure help if someone would stop the Culinary Union from busing so many illegal alien hotel maids and busboys to those "early voting" stations in the supermarket parking lots.

We need strong "Voter ID," guys. Anyone listening, out there?

2. The most important thing you can do this Fall

11:06 am October 3rd, 2018

Let's face it, the most important thing you can do this Fall to preserve common decency in America and the reasonably civil, non-violent Constitutional republic we knew before the Far left turned into deranged, foam-at-the-mouth savages on Nov. 8, 2016, is to make sure Donald Trump has a stronger Republican Congress to back him up — one with some testicles, this time — leading through to his almost certain 2020 re-election landslide.

5. Voting: A Matter Of Conscience? Patriotic Duty? Self Defense? #DoitforQ?

5:05 pm September 14th, 2018

(Brunette here.) Even a few short years ago, I'd have insisted I'd never vote again. Too much corruption in government; crooked politicians not even worthy of a "lesser evil" vote; rigged elections and voter fraud . . . I was probably as thoroughly disillusioned with politics as it's possible to be. Years ago, I'd even written an essay or two against voting — although I always recognized it as a matter of conscience, and once got rebuked for writing a piece sympathetic to voters despite my personal stance.

6. When it comes to guns, 'Impossibility of compliance is not a sufficient reason for invalidating a law'

11:04 am September 11th, 2018

As I write this, the Florida Democrat party has just chosen as their 2018 gubernatorial nominee Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, who wants to abolish ICE — Immigration and Customs Enforcement — leaving immigration enforcement to desk-bound attorneys at the "Department of Justice," thus opening our borders to millions of non-English-speaking illegal aliens, who know and care nothing about our Constitution or our American culture -– while doubtless also handing them drivers' licenses and registering them to vote, as is already common practice in California and its largest suburb, Nevada.

Can you feeeel it? (Article from 2012-12-07 FreedomsPhoenixEzine - https://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Magazine/Magazine-List.htm?MagNo=20 )

This month's cover was inspired by the needs of people affected by hurricane Sandy. How might a free people respond to the needs of their neighbors if there wasn't a single thought that there might be a need for a permission slip?

My work in talk radio covering the effects of hurricane Katrina made it very clear that government was incapable of providing for the timely and efficient needs of people better than individuals enthusiastic about helping their neighbors. Immediately after Katrina's devastation was realized, regional fishermen knew that their personal fishing boats would be invaluable in the effort to rescue people on roof tops waving bed sheets spray painted with pleas for help. The world was watching via helicopter news coverage when 500 bass boats showed up in a line over 5 miles long and were turned back by government employees with M16s.

The rise of alternative media covering national politics can be easily chronicled by following the evolution of White House coverage, and Katrina was a very big part of that (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/09/03/144800/-Just-to-give-you-a-sense-of-just-how-badly-FEMA-has-f-cked-up & http://www.wanttoknow.info/femafailureskatrina).

Libertarian liberty activists understood more clearly than most the power of the Internet for at least a decade before the political establishment really caught on during the Howard Dean campaign for POTUS (President of the United States) in 2004. The first national campaign to raise significant money using the Internet launched a frenzy to dominate the new media. But libertarian philosophy had already saturated much of the available traffic via email lists, and open participation on various issues of importance to many (Taxes, Gun Rights, Civil Liberties, Education etc.)

Before the invasion of Iraq in February 2003, I would begin my career in talk radio as the weekday morning host of a talk radio station in Scottsdale, Arizona covering the 'Valley of the Sun'. I remember my first week included a very progressive Green Party activist Kyrsten Sinema http://www.ernesthancock.com/archive/index.cgi?2003-02-14-Ernie that headed up Arizona's part in a massive worldwide demonstration against an Iraq War that had yet to begin. It was reported at the time that there we more people in the streets around the world in opposition to a war that hadn't even started yet than at the height of the Vietnam War. Ironically, I would interview Powell Gammill (now Senior Editor of Freedom's Phoenix) one week later in his capacity as the Lab Manager for the State of Arizona's Terrorist Bio-Defense Department. Kyrsten would later register as a Democrat and eventually win an Arizona State legislative seat, and just this last November was elected to the United States Congress by just over a 1% margin over the Republican, with Powell Gammill getting well over 6% of the vote on a platform of making certain that your vote counted by NOT casting it. I have an interesting and long list of informative interactions with Kyrsten, but it is her use of the AntiWar movement that I wish to make note of here.

It was very clear to me that Kyrsten was a smart progressive that looked to build coalitions for future use as a voting block, to the point that she agreed to welcome armed libertarian participation at the coming antiwar protest. I definitely do not want to give the impression that Kyrsten is "pro 2nd Amendment" (and I am certain she wouldn't want me to), but she definitely knew what it would take for our promoting our participation. Libertarians had previously avoided joining progressive gatherings due to their making a big deal out of the few liberty supporters that chose to exercise their rights to self-defense while exercising their free speech simultaneously. It has continued to be our experience that a few armed protesters kept the peace, and the local police were much more professional. Surprisingly, Kyrsten welcomed our participation under the condition that those that chose to carry their firearms to the antiwar protest would remain unmolested by event organizers. The event drew thousands to a center of the city public park in downtown Phoenix and I am of the opinion that the presence of firearms prevented the mass arrest of many of the less cooperative liberal protesters. This event would flavor the cooperation between progressive and libertarian activists for many years to come. Later, a former Arizona Libertarian Party State Chairman would join with many of the same people in a strong coalition of antiwar activists. He was successful in keeping the focus of the group antiwar instead of the antiwar movement being used in Arizona to further all of the other progressive issues, which was the norm in other parts of the country.

I share this information so that you have a better understanding of what was being experienced elsewhere in the country. During these months, I would interview nationally known figures of all political philosophies on many issues, including foreign policy, and my activist experiences made it clear to me what was going on. Howard Dean http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Dean was the opposition candidate with the most traction at the time, and as the antiwar candidate was raising lots of money using the Internet and rallying the young to participate in his campaign. An antiwar movement behind a candidate for President at the height of the U.S. invasion of Iraq (March19th 2003 ?" May 1st 2003) could not be tolerated and Dean was targeted by the establishment. The Bush/Kerry choice was acceptable to the establishment just as the Obama/McCain and Obama/Romney were. Howard Dean would later become the Democratic National Chairman in February of 2005.

Preparation for the 2006 mid-term elections would include the antiwar activist and the progressive elements that had joined forces inside the Democratic Party, but were being directed by independent money via various organizations (doesn't matter which ones… if you go high enough on the right side or the left side of the pyramid, you eventually find out that both sides are managed by the same entities). Covering the Camp Casey story as the producer for The Charles Goyette show on the Air America affiliate in Phoenix, AZ, from Crawford, Texas near President Bush's ranch, I got an up close and personal view of the machine in action as Cindy Sheehan refused to bend to the will of the War Machine. It was demanded of Cindy that she no longer advocate for the immediate withdrawal of troops from foreign entanglements, and that she take on the rhetoric of "Phased Withdraw". She was warned that she would be an outcast and that all support from the 'Machine's Left Wing' (of the bird of prey) would evaporate if she wouldn't cooperate, and this is what would happen. The United States House of Representatives would gain a Democratic majority and the first thing that newly elected Speaker Pelosi did was to support the continued funding of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Cindy would attempt to bring these issues to light in her effort to unseat Pelosi in the 2008 election cycle from San Francisco, CA.

It was in Crawford, Texas that I came to understand how the antiwar movement was used to assemble as large a voting block as possible with the inclusion of as many special interests popular on the left as possible. The antiwar movement was nothing more than a tool used by well-placed money to create as large a voting block as possible for the support of a vast increase in the size of government using the progressive rhetoric… but the wars would continue.

The participation of Congressman Ron Paul in the 2008 election cycle prevented a redux of the 2006's efforts to use antiwar rhetoric to gather this voting block in support of the Democrats. The support structure for the antiwar movement wasn't really there to prevent the war, it was part of a much larger agenda to advocate for more government using a block of popular issues appealing to as large a coalition as possible… even libertarian activists with side arms, if it served their immediate interests.

The voting block represented on the right side of the pyramid is mostly made up of the 180 degree version of whatever is advocated by the left side, with as little overlap as possible… to the point of being comical. But don't be fooled into thinking that the overall agenda isn't shared. The bottom line is that you are a debt slave for 'They/Them/Those' that will not leave you alone. But now for the Katrina/Sandy tie in.

At the end of August 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast and it didn't seem to take much effort to coalesce an effective opposition to the Bush administration's handling of the disaster. Opposition to America's wars, combined with alternative media and additional cable channels, created an environment that could take advantage of almost any misstep by anyone anywhere. And the US government, with the Bush administration at the helm, made it very easy for the American people to vent their anger. But with an even larger hurricane, more war, more drug war, education and infrastructure in shambles, more debt and more surveillance, and less freedom, the Obama administration is enjoying one of the highest approval ratings of his entire presidency. The offer of more freedom as the largest part of a real stimulus package isn't even discussed in Washington D.C. Only Ron Paul, in his last address from the floor of the House of Representatives, has articulated the power of liberty as a cure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q03cWio-zjk

But for Ron Paul and his supporters, the entire election cycle of 2008 was a bipartisan brain washing that provided for the insertion of confusion and doubt from all angles. Thinking back to the 2008 POTUS election cycle, it's hard to recall any role played by President Bush in the 2008 elections. The only memory I have of Bush being a part of the election coverage was when McCain and Obama "suspended" their campaigns to stand shoulder to shoulder to shoulder with Bush when they Nationally Socialized the American economy with the TARP bailout… to be immediately followed weeks into the new Obama administration with more stimulus.

Americans, and the rest of the planet I suspect, barely noticed when Ron Paul and his supporter's efforts to Audit the Fed resulted in the acknowledgement of tens of TRILLIONS of dollars just given away to any and everyone but the American people. But, of course, they got the bill… and their money devalued. When the Secretary of the United States Treasury advocated just last week for the American people to accept the inevitability of unlimited debt increases and perpetual tax slavery for themselves and future generations, did anyone really make a real effort to put up a fuss on the streets of America?... it's just business as usual.

The 'Largest Bank Robbery in Human History', that continues before our eyes, has had long lasting side effects that have yet to be fully understood by those collecting the spoils of corruption and death. Just this week on Freedom's Phoenix' news site, we linked to a DailyBell.com article by Ron Holland, "I Told You So! Of Course Washington will Steal Your Retirement Benefits" http://www.thedailybell.com/28418/Ron-Holland-I-Told-You-So-Of-Course-Washington-will-Steal-Your-Retirement-Benefits where he references an article he wrote in early 2010 published on LewRockwell.com. "The Coming Obama Retirement Trap Has Started"  http://www.lewrockwell.com/holland/holland12.1.html. In that article, Ron Holland shares a story about getting a call from Ron Paul explaining how, at the last minute, an amendment was added to the '1981 Economic Recovery Act' that made it clear that Social and Economic engineering of the American people's retirements away from them was well under way. I graduated High School in 1979, but can remember the year "2012" thrown around in the media as a young man as the year that the house of financial cards was to come tumbling down. Those that spend enough time each day to just scan the headlines provided on Freedom's Phoenix' news site can't miss the trend. The collective wealth of every individual in 'the system' is having their retirement forced pooled so that it can be drained for the benefit of… not you.

This article could have been filled with many examples of how you have been steered away from being able to provide for your own very comfortable retirement. If you did nothing but take whatever financial penalty engineered by every level of government and monthly converted it to Gold and/or Silver, you would have provided for yourself a comfortable retirement. Even with a few weeks until the end of the year, you may still have time to make some moves before… you can't.

But I want to leave you with just a few thoughts that may convince you that you are not informed enough to play the hand you have been dealt, and that you might want to explore the liquidation of any assets denominated in the US Dollar and convert them to something of hard value before it is too late. You may have already got a very small sample of having your dreams taken from you in 2007 and 2008. But I suspect that was just a warning.

My research for this article started with questions for friends with much more experience and intelligence than I in finance. I understood that the entire system was rigged to swindle me out of my money a long time ago. And since I have few monetary resources, I focus on relationships, knowledge, family, security, food, location, and silver to provide for myself and those I care about. My intent was to have my research for this article focus on what to expect in the coming year, and if there were some important pieces of advice that could be put into action in the last few weeks of the year that would be appreciated by our subscribers.

Freedom's Phoenix, the radio show, and this e-Zine are full of regular suggestions and information that is provided by those that deserve your attention, but one last piece of information from me might make a great deal of difference to someone that needed the extra encouragement to do something that might have a very large and beneficial impact on their future.

While on the phone to a friend with extensive experience in matters of finance, another friend stopped by to drop off some holiday cheer and say hello - Charles Goyette, author of the New York Times best-selling book, The Dollar Meltdown. I allowed myself to believe that this was a good sign that I had chosen a good issue to prompt the writing of this article. I'm sure that Charles was worried that a 15 minute visit over the holidays would turn into hours if he couldn't simply supply me with a simple key to the rabbit hole and send me down it on my own, and we'll see him and his wife Ali this Saturday at our Christmas Party anyway… Yes, our family calls it a "Christmas Party" :) So I didn't attempt to chain him to a chair. The key he supplied me was "rehypothecation'".

I had already started taking notes about all of the things that I wanted to research and share my perspective on, but I chose to tell you the above story about the inspiration of this month's cover and my opinion about the use of 'movement manipulation' via the Internet and social media because I think it more relevant and revealing (at least as to how my opinions were formed).

My list included many things to talk about that now seem just a symptom of a much larger problem rather than causes. My list included things like the Presidential Working Group on Financial Markets (The Plunge Protection Team) and the large percentage of stock market volume that their efforts represent; that the volume of stock market activity in general has rapidly declined; what entities do make up the largest portions of stock trading and how much of that is done automatically by computers and how another May 2010 computer trading stock crash is easy to predict and what it might trigger, and what is the safest thing to do to avoid the potential elimination of everything accumulated over a lifetime.

But then I decided to tell you a story that would end with these final thoughts. In August of 2010, Goldman Sachs advised their clients to sell their gold holdings at less than $1250 an ounce http://www.zerohedge.com/article/goldman-tells-its-special-clients-sell-gold-even-it-raises-its-price-target-shiny-metal, and just this week Goldman has repeated this advice http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2012-12-05/golden-showers-goldman-tells-clients-sell-gold with Gold now at $1700+. This information sparked a memory of my making a video of over half a dozen women making signs in my backyard during the 2008 election cycle. I thought it interesting to find only woman making signs this particular day when I came home, and thought it appropriate to make a video. One of the signs being produced stated, "The FED Did It", which included a dollar sign and an arrow pointing down. The impression, of course, was that the Federal Reserve was devaluing the dollar. On camera I asked Renee, "What did the Fed do?". Without hesitation she said, "They printed money and bought Gold with it". I was left speechless at the clarity of that simple statement.

There may need to be a couple of steps in the process of 'Printing Gold' via public relation efforts, bailouts, stimulus and client advice, but in the end it is 'the system' that allows for the creation of a debt for unborn children to be converted into hard assets for They/Them/Those. I could also spend a lot of time expressing my concern that Auditing the Gold held by the United States government wouldn't tell us how many times that Gold has been used to leverage other "investments". Just as they have been able to turn paper into Gold, I am just as concerned that the 'People's Gold' has been turned into paper.

I'm sure most of you remember the collapse of MF Global and the 'evaporation' of their client's assets. Gerald Celente was very animated on my radio show (and many others) about the 'theft' of his money by MF Global, and Gerald targeted a great deal of his venom at MF Global's CEO, Jon Corzine. But I hope Gerald won't mind too much that I use his experience as an example for the rest of us. (More about that in just a bit)

Generation Next's skepticism about participating in the financial system is due to a much more powerful force than what can be exerted by government mandates and incentives… culture.

The South Park Episode "HUMANCENTiPAD" http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s15e01-humancentipad (starting at 1 minute and 45 seconds into the episode will get to the meat of what I hope to share, but I recommend the entire episode for entertainment) the creators of South Park do a great job of making the point that I hope to impart in the summation of this article. Few of us actually read the "Agreements" that are a condition of our updating software. Even if we did read the lengthy agreements, they are in a constant state of flux and often we agree (with a checked box) to have the conditions we agree to altered at any time. Just this past week, Facebook announced that they will automatically upload your smartphone's photos to your Facebook accounts, but have individuals read what happens to those photos and how they are used and who ultimately owns them?... But I bet that they checked the box anyway. http://www.forbes.com/sites/tomiogeron/2012/11/30/facebook-now-auto-uploads-mobile-photos-to-web/

MF Global:

Jon Corzine's bio is as follows:  Mr. Corzine was the CEO of Goldman Sachs from '94-'99 and was followed by Henry Paulson (Paulson would later become Bush's Treasury Secretary). Corzine would then become New Jersey's US Senator from '01-'06 immediately followed by his term as New Jersey's Governor until 2010 when he became CEO of MF Global. And it was MF Global, headed by Mr. Corzine, that Gerald Celente and many others used to leverage their money in the purchase of Gold futures contracts. Mr. Celente's faith in the system resulted in his making use of a well-established (and politically connected) company to provide him the service he needed to take advantage of the anticipated increase in Gold's future price, in spite of its CEO having such a pedigree,… or maybe because of it, or maybe it simply never occurred to Gerald to be concerned and he simply looked for the best rate. Gerald stated that he planned on taking delivery of his gold when the contract was due, but before he could do that, the money he placed in the care of MF Global was gone. Are you more informed than Gerald? Maybe. But I wouldn't bet my life savings on it.

What Charles Goyette pointed me to was a concept that I have never heard of before. But it doesn't surprise me. Governments have been used to robbing as many people as possible since… well, since there have been governments. And this is the point that I've been building up to.

The financial system has evolved into a complicated and constantly changing labyrinth of rules and regulations to protect those that have the greatest influence in the altering of the rules and regulations.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothecation

Hypothecation is when a borrower retains ownership of collateral, but it is "hypothetically" controlled by the creditor that has the right to seize possession if the borrower defaults.

Rehypothecation is when the creditor uses the collateral of their clients as collateral for their own trading. MF Global was limited to leveraging their client's money to 140% (amazing) by US law. But if they used a UK subsidiary of MF Global to trade in their own plays on many of the EU's high yield high risk sovereign debt, then there was NO LIMIT to the leveraging. When the European Union didn't act fast enough to bailout their member states as anticipated by the suits at MF Global, the money went bye bye.

I discovered that some more informed and skeptical Hedge Funds knew to take lower returns in exchange for not allowing for the 'rehypothetication' of their assets. But their money is gone as well, and its unlikely retrieval will likely be costly and time consuming.

In July of 2010, an IMF working paper was made available explaining the enormity of this practice.

IMF Working Paper

Monetary and Capital Markets Department

The (sizable) Role of Rehypothecation in the Shadow Banking System

Prepared by Manmohan Singh and James Aitken1

Authorized for distribution by Karl Habermeier

July 2010

Abstract

This paper examines the sizable role of rehypothecation in the shadow banking system. Rehypothecation is the practice that allows collateral posted by, say, a hedge fund to its prime broker to be used again as collateral by that prime broker for its own funding. In the United Kingdom, such use of a customer's assets by a prime broker can be for an unlimited amount of the customer's assets while in the United States rehypothecation is capped (at 140% of their client's assets BTW :). Incorporating estimates for rehypothecation (and the associated re-use of collateral) in the recent crisis indicates that the collapse in non-bank funding to banks was sizable. We show that the shadow banking system was at least 50 percent bigger than documented so far. We also provide estimates from the hedge fund industry for the "churning" factor or re-use of collateral. From a policy angle, supervisors of large banks that report on a global consolidated basis may need to enhance their understanding of the off-balance sheet funding that these banks receive via rehypothecation from other jurisdictions.

Soooo, my point is this. The politics of War, Finance, Power and Control cannot be fully understood by even the smartest of us, and I can only advocate for the physical control of hard assets to retain the bulk of your wealth. You are not going to outsmart such a corrupt system for any length of time, and the end game has already been planned for. Every crisis, disaster, and threat has been used to herd us into the slaughter house where we are to be processed as livestock.

But in spite of all of the evidence of the collapse of our financial and political systems, I am very optimistic. Generation Next is rediscovering the benefits of liberty. Instant communication of truth and ideas has provided the transparency and understanding that has been promised humanity for millennia. The best is yet to come. Our mission is to keep breathing in and out long enough to experience it.
