• The Public Banking Blog

The Public Banking Blog is an extension of the Public Banking Group, both started by Ellen Hodgson Brown, author of Web of Debt, because she was overwhelmed with email inquiring about the publicly-owned bank idea after she wrote several articles on it. The Public Banking Blog attempts to provide the latest news, views, information, and action alerts on Public Banking, with the ultimate goal of helping to establish publicly-owned banks that operate for the public good.

The very active Public Banking Group (a Google group) has named itself “the Coalition for Public Banking,” with 140 members strong. Inclusion into the group is by invitation only, but please contact Ellen Brown (ellenhbrown at gmail.com) if interested.

Ellen Brown developed her research skills as an attorney practicing civil litigation in Los Angeles. In Web of Debt her latest book, she turns those skills to an analysis of the Federal Reserve and “the money trust.” She shows how this private cartel has usurped the power to create money from the people themselves, and how we the people can get it back. More about Ellen Brown, as well as her articles, which are published widely, can be found at her website, http://www.webofdebt.com/.
