Let’s use video to reinvent education: Salman Khan on TED.com

Salman Khan talks about how and why he created the remarkable Khan Academy, a carefully structured series of educational videos offering complete curricula in math and, now, other subjects. He shows the power of interactive exercises — and calls for teachers to consider flipping the traditional classroom script — give students video lectures to watch at home, and do you “homework” in the classroom with the teacher available to help. (Recorded at TED2011, March 2011, in Long Beach, California. Duration: 20:27)

One world whatever, this is amazing! Love it! Khan academy helped me get back into math after 16 years of avoiding it.

As much as 2 decades ago Don Tolman trained himself to have a photographic memory. Don explained that virtually all children are born with a photographic memory, but are trained out of it at an early age by their parents and the education system. At some point, say, 15 years ago, Don was preparing to start a school to train children to have a photographic memory.

Google "Don Tolman" for some interesting info along these lines and others, including holistic nutritional health.
