"independent monitor" = Surveillance and do it my way or the highway. The USDOJ has been politicized beyond belief by Obama/Holder. Case in point it the refusal to allow the states to require a photo ID to vote in the national election. I support your reluctance to allow the USDOJ interference. You are right to maintain the confidence of the electorate the put you in office.
