Off grid energy systems, such as solar, wind, hydro and geothermal are all areas of interest for survivalists looking to unhook themselves from the commercial electric company. Some of us are fortunate enough to be able to afford purchasing off grid energy resources and having them installed. Others of us are more frugal and come up with inventive ways to fabricate the equipment needed to supply us with off grid energy.
