Using pint mason jars, some ordinary cooking oil, and a couple other basic materials, we'll build a simple oil-burning lantern and a candle-style lamp. Both styles of lamp are cheap, effective lighting sources that can be used with new or used vegetable oil, canola oil, or other types of cooking oil.
