Tribute to Ademo Freeman – A Real Hero
08-15-2012 • www.copblock.org
21 Years for some phone calls???
Here is a tribute I made to a great activist and one of my personal heroes. Tomorrow, August 13, he is facing 3 counts of Felony Wiretapping and 21 years in prison for the supposed crime of recording public officials while performing their public duties in a publicly owned building. I hope I will see you at his trial in Manchester, if not, please consider donating to him at https://www.wepay.com/donations/ademo-s-jail-pledge
Even a few dollars will help. Also, write to him at http://www.mail-to-jail.com/ and show him support.
I recently blogged about the State jerking me around by failing to mail me important court information - see here: http://www.copblock.org/16493/ademosmai/
After filing two motions with two different judges - both of which were
denied - I now have a court hearing scheduled for July 11th, 2012 to
determine when I'll serve my 60 day sentence for 'resisting arrest.'
Due to the fact that I'm being denied my trial and that I'm not willing
to drag this out any longer in appeals, I'm asking people to contribute a
pledge for each day I sit in jail. 50% of the money will go to
CopBlock.org to further promote police accountability and the other 50%
will be used for my commissary and after jail cost. If donations go over
$500 I'll then donate 75% to CopBlock.org
