A growing body of research shows that people with red hair need larger
doses of anesthesia and often are resistant to local pain blockers like
Novocaine. As a result, redheads tend to be particularly nervous about
dental procedures and are twice as likely to avoid going to the dentist
as people with other hair colors.
I wonder how long before a vaccine is available for us poor souls afflicted with the dreaded MC1R gene? I'm sure our government is working on it as we speak.

That's probably true. I'm a redhead and I only go to the dentist once every ten years on average. Too bad they could not have used a picture of real redhead in the article, you can see her brunette roots.
