On September 8, 2009, United States District Judge Bruce D. Black of the United States District Court for New Mexico entered summary judgment in a civil case for damages against Alamogordo, NM police officers. The Judge's straight shootin' message t
Court filings exposed vendor-paid vacations for Mayor Ray Nagin and his former technology chief, Greg Meffert. That pushed U.S. Attorney Jim Letten into a rare public acknowledgment of a federal criminal investigation at City Hall; Meffert, in turn,
“Long-range acoustic devices [LRADs] for crowd control can be
extremely dangerous. These are used in Iraq to control insurgents. They
can cause serious and lasting harm to humans…We want to know WHY our
Sheriff Dept has this weapon,” Sal Magallanez of San Diego-based Liberty One Radio said in an e-mail sent to East County Magazine, prompting a joint investigation.
The device was stationed by San Diego County Sheriff deputies at a
recent town hall forum hosted by Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-San
Diego) in Spring Valley and at a subsequent town hall with Congressman
Darrell Issa (R-San Diego). The Davis Rally drew an estimated
1,300-1,500 people, including vocal conservative and liberal protest
groups.
A public records search conducted by East County Magazine has confirmed that the device is an LRAD 500-x
manufactured by San Diego-based American Technology Corporation (ATC).
Capable of use as an effective loudspeaker, the LRAD also has the

Yesterday, another radical extremist joined the ranks of the Obama administration. Cass Sunstein, who is an old friend of Barack Obama, is now our new Regulatory Czar. You will recall that he is the guy who wants animals to sue hunters and other Americans. He also supports gun control.
Americans are outraged with the recent introduction of America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. The Internal Revenue Service will enforce fines of $3,800.00 imposed against non- participants of the National Health Care plan.
During this part of the meeting GAO
representative Richard Stana used a very poor sports analogy to try and
convince the public that interior checkpoints on America's streets are
necessary. What Mr. Stana failed to acknowledge is that football
players, and fans who attend football games, are engaging in voluntary
interactions. Nobody forces football players to play the game and no
one grabs individuals off the streets and forces them to watch and
cheer the football players on.
The e-mail messages were intercepted by the National Security Agency in
Washington in 2006, but were not made available to British prosecutors
to use as evidence in the first trial because the agency did not want
to tip off the militant in Pakistan that his e-mail account was being
monitored.
“I plan to get right back in it!’’
boomed James Traficant, the former Democratic representative from
Ohio’s 17th district, announcing to 1,200 cheering supporters Sunday he
just might still have a little of the old magic under that memorable
rug.
Just like in his salad
days, Traficant promised that he would take on the federal government
that he said “cheated’’ to put him behind bars for racketeering and
bribery. As the crowd shouted “Run for Senate,’’ he trashed the wars in
Afghanistan and Iraq and caused a frenzy when he proclaimed: “If we can
take care of people all over the world, we can take care of people
here!’’
Calling himself “a
congressman and a convict,’’ Traficant, released Wednesday from prison,
invoked imprisoned Nelson Mandela and said he “knew America better’’
because of his years behind bars.

Does bad judgment or rude behavior by any citizen justify the use of force of an electric shock by the police in America?
Here we go again, another officer with poor or nonexistent
communication skills using the Taser in a manner unacceptable in a free
society. This new report comes from not New York City where you expect
rude behavior to be the norm, but from the wild west of Glenrock,
Wyoming.
Wasn’t it the Bush Administration that coined the phrase, “Freedom isn’t free.”?
I’m left to wonder, free of what; free of excessive force from our own
police force? Just going through the airport in America I’m made to
feel like a criminal in ways you won’t feel going through airports in
Europe. In Russia you get robbed over luggage charges but you expect
it. In America we now get not just robbed by Wall Street, but there is
a growing trend of being mugged by our own police forces.
Breaking down the formerly-gagged FBI whistleblower's sworn testimony...
It has now been over a week since the video tape and transcript from
the remarkable 8/8/09 deposition of former FBI
translator-turned-whistleblower Sibel Edmonds was publicly released.
Previously, the Bush Administration invoked the so-called "state
secrets privilege" in order to gag Edmonds, in attempting to keep such
information from becoming public.
The under-oath, detailed allegations include bribery, blackmail,
espionage and infiltration of the U.S. government of, and by current
and former members of the U.S. Congress, high-ranking State and Defense
Department officials and agents of the government of Turkey. The broad
criminal conspiracy is said to have resulted in, among other things,
the sale of nuclear weapons technology to black market interests
including Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Libya and others.
Even as many of these allegations had been previousl
Starting September 1st, some travelers will begin providing their birth date and sex when booking their airline reservations.
It's the second part of the government's phased-in program, Secure Flight,
to match passengers' names against the government's terrorism watch
list. Earlier in the summer, when passengers booked their online travel
they had to provide the airline with exactly how their name appears on
their government-issued identification card—whether it be a driver's
license or a passport.
FORT LEE - Some of the soldiers meeting today’s tough military standards put their skills to the test this morning at Fort Lee.It’s part of a three day long anti-terrorism drill. The Army post staged a fake protest to show how well soldiers and Fort Lee Police are equipped handle the situation.
JERICHO, Ark. – It was just too much, having to return to court twice on the same day to contest yet another traffic ticket, and Fire Chief Don Payne didn't hesitate to tell the judge what he thought of the police and their speed traps.
The response from cops? They shot him. Right there in court.
and RP4409's Moronic Misuse of the Word "Nazi" - Pastor Anderson, Shelton, militia pimp Hancock, RP4409, the liber-tard
party, et al., are so intertwined with each other that you'd
practically need a Venn diagram to understand how they overlap.
As the protestors make their way towards the fence that separates
Fort Lee from the rest of the world, Police and soldiers gear up for a
possible confrontation.
As the chants grow louder and the protesters get angrier, the
scenario changes from training exercise to being real life in just a
matter of seconds
After almost a year and a half in
production the independent feature length documentary from Gary Franchi
and William Lewis titled “Camp FEMA” has been released.
Five members of a relatively new Arizona Department of Public Safety
unit are responsible for confiscating nearly 15,000 pounds of pot, more
than 300 pounds of cocaine and about 20 pounds of heroin in the past 18
months.
The officers are part of a DPS unit - the only one of its kind in
the country - that combines the talents of some of the agency's more
successful drug-interdiction officers with the technical skills of
those who understand the smallest of details involved in commercial vehicle enforcement, said department director Roger Vanderpool.
Lake Charles Police Chief (Louisiana) wants surveillance cameras mandated inside and outside of all bars if they want to keep their license regardless of cost.
A new bill has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives called the National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645.
This bill if passed into law will direct the Secretary of Homeland
Security to establish national emergency centers otherwise known as
FEMA camp facilities on military installations.
Agents may seize, detain, and/or retain individuals’ PCs and media without having reason to suspect that those people or those machines and devices are connected with a crime.

A day after the American Civil Liberties Union sued the Homeland Security Department for access to records on laptop searches at the border, DHS released updated guidelines on how and when a border official can search or confiscate an electronic device.

Whenever questions are raised about national ID schemes like REAL-ID or PASS-ID,
their more public-relations savvy proponents are always quick to say,
“But of course this isn’t a national ID card”. The same goes for L-1 Identity Solutions, the prime drivers license, ID card, and ID and biometric database contractor, aggregator, and data miner for California and the majority of other states (and keynote presenter at ICAO’s upcoming Symposium on Machine Readable Travel Dcouments next month in Montreal).
So we were interested to see how L-1 describes its products to its
customers in this full-page ad on the back cover of the latest issue of
ICAO’s Machine Readable Travel Document Report:
My response to people who complain when I approve of articles or links to articles attacking Pastor Steven Anderson who was beaten up by government goons at an internal police state checkpoint.
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall NOT be violated…”Checkpoint USA is dedicated to confronting those who would place roadblocks in the path of free individuals and to exposing the police state - one checkpoint at a time.
Putting to rest the lie that internal Border Patrol checkpoints are
primarily about stemming the flow of illegal border crossers (as if you
could stop illegal border crossers 40 miles North of the border to
begin with), the video below clearly shows that the Department of
Homeland Security use so-called immigration checkpoints as a pretext to
search for contraband.
