Tesla teases faster way to charge battery

Tesla has rolled out a few supercharging stations across the country, but using those stations can be time-consuming.
Yahoo noted Tesla may be dusting off an old idea with electric vehicles -- battery swapping. The process could expand the range of electric cars, but there aren't any facilities currently capable of doing it, or not quickly.
The Model S, which was recently rated the highest by Consumer Reports, was reportedly built with battery swapping in mind, according to Yahoo. Tesla also alluded to battery swapping and developing facilities to do it in its latest quarterly report.

Capacitors rather than batteries would charge fully in under a second. Can they make them that hold up to vibration? Can they assure anyone putzing around on the electrical system would ground themselves to the capacitor bank?
